Not in the best part of town
"This is an adequate hotel but its on the wrong side of town. The walk to the riverside is down a busy road with occasion dogs roaming about. You can get a grab which is probably the best option . Probably not worth the money. Breakfast is poor"

Love the Kampot peppers, very tasty and aromatic. The durians are excellent too! Sweet mangosteens, rambutans, and longans, etc...

Kampot has a great vibe. Chill, relaxed place with many restaurants; cafes; fun markets; nearby country side, salt flats, Bokor hill, wats and caves to explore and a great pop-up bakery on the riverside (Nom Tom).
