"The included dinner and breakfast was very good. The buffet dinner had alot of choices and so did the breakfast.The location of the hotel is ideal for the Sounkyo Waterfall Ice Festival which is only a 10minute walk from the hotel. "Dated hotel, as are all the hotels in the area, but very well maintained. Staff were all superb and the food service was very efficient and tasty. Not Michelin starred, but neither is the cost."

Verified traveler

We traveled from Sapporo by rail and bus that took 4-5 hours to get to Sounkyo. Most visitors are in group tours or by cars getting there and seeing the attractions are not a problem. The cablecar ride up the mountain is a must.
