"This is a good place to stay if your main focus is skiing/snowboarding. This is more of a rustic cabin stay. Our room had two beds and an attached bathroom. There is a restaurant with some dinner service at night. You are a 5 minute walk to the ski slope and a 1 minute walk from a ski rental shop and a western style pub restaurant. It did take us about 15-20 minutes to walk down the hill to the Lawsons, so you might need to stock up on snacks or waters before heading up to the cabin. Overall we...

"Came as a solo traveller to snowboard for a week. This hotel was perfect for me, beds were a little small but thats common everywhere in japan. Its not the Ritz but is perfect for a place to pass out each night and location is central in echoland. "

"Quite possibly one of the hidden gems of Hakuba Goryu. If you want the true Hakuba local experience and taken back in time, this is your spot. No frills and feel like you are staying with your relatives. Amazing hosts that go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. "This facility is suitable for relaxing all the time with big outside bathtub and quiet room. We could stay in safe and really enjoy all of the time. Especially when we were in the 2nd floor in our room to take a outside bath, we were amazed by the beautiful sight of the stars. Although the temperature was so low, I guess it’s below zero, we were so excited to staring at the stars thanks to the hot spring. "The owners provided excellent hospitality. It was really nice of them to pick and drop us off at the train station. There is a bus stop in front of the house which was very convenient to visit the snow resorts. The house is clean, homey, and great for the price. I highly recommend staying here! I hope to visit again in the future."

"The wooden cabin is so cute and perfect for our family of four. My kids love bunk beds and my husband and I have our own room so that was perfect. It is a 10 min walk to the Happy zone ski area which was so-able. "

"We enjoyed our stay here and was pleasantly surprised with how accommodating our host was. We were nervous after reading some reviews complaining about how the host was unhelpful or the property was lacking but our accommodation had everything we needed and was nice and warm. The host explained the bus schedule to us when we arrived and it was very easy to access Happo One within 10-15 minutes on the shuttle. We shipped our skis to the hotel and while he didn't communicate well with us ahead of time, he held our skis and even helped us ship our skis to our next location easily. The only thing I would warn others is that there are limited restaurant options nearby (although there are a few within a 10-15 min walk) so plan accordingly or make a booking ahead of time that includes dinner at the property. "
