Very remote, with lots and long “2 way road but 1car space” roads before you make it to the hotel which has parking for about 10 guest cars. 10/10!"

"We stayed at Awaikeda ekimae-shop as we planned to do rafting at beautiful Yoshino river. We stayed at Awaikeda honmachi which is a private house but ekimae-shop has 5 rooms and toilet and showers are all shared. The place is basic but clean. We were 6 of us, sleeping on futon on tatami floor in one room. Am glad that our children experienced a proper Japanese sleeping style!"
