Log Cottage on Blue Lake-Summer has arrived!!

Our log cottage on Blue Lake is in a beautiful area of Northwest Michigan. If you like peace and quiet this is the lake front cottage for you. The cottage sits on 100' of frontage and is located on the East side of the lake so we get great sunsets. The fall colors are beautiful. Almost every room in the cottage has a great view of the lake. Listen to the loons calling through out the day and watch the sunset in the evening. There is wildlife galore. Blue Lake is an all sports lake connected by two other lakes. Little Blue to the South and North Blue to the North. Blue Lake is a springfed lake and it's deepest point is 85'. We have many different species of fish so bring the fishing gear and boat. We do have a 40' dock and also a 12' rowboat for your use. There are also ATV and snowmobile trails just down the road from the cottage. This area of Kalkaska County is known as the snow belt. So we get plenty of snow for snowmobiling and skiing. The Blue Bear trail runs right around this area. We have many ski resorts close by. There are many golf courses, wineries, and casinos in the area.

Perfect Cabin for ATV Trails and Relaxation
This is our second stay at this cabin and it won't be our last. We love it for the location off the Kalkaska ATV trail system and the beautiful lake views for morning coffee! Thanks for sharing your cabin with us!

This cabin is very rustic but perfectly comfortable. The lake was gorgeous. Everything you need for a perfect getaway. I would definitely stay again.

quiet relaxing trip
We loved our time at the lake. The boys took the boat out daily, We walked around the lake, and stayed mostly at the house, enjoying the scenario and our time away.

Exceptionally clean, perfect location!
We were new to the area and wanted something close to the ATV trails. This cabin was perfectly located to go any direction on the trails and have a great place to drink morning coffee and have a nighttime fire! Probably one of the cleanest and most tidy rentals we've ever stayed in. We will definitely rent here again!

Charming Getaway Cottage
This cottage made for a wonderful weekend stay. My brother and I took the rowboat out for a troll around the lake. We also grilled out and made a nice campfire. It was a short drive from Traverse City which was also a plus. Hoping to return to Blue Lake one day soon!

Lovely june vaca
The cabin was so nice and clean nice swimming area and very well stocked. For me it was like stepping back in time growing up at Blue Lake! It was a wonderful week stay with my daughters son in law and mother and we will be back. Hoping to make it back in the fall, but for sure a yearly summer trip Thank you for making our memories so sweet!!

We used this as a base for the atv trail system. Great location with plenty of parking for trailer. The cottage was comfortable and unique. Truly a nostalgic place. The boys loved the loft/bunk beds. The cottage was clean and well cared for.

Amazing Water and Super Clean House
My son and I took a mother/son fishing trip for his graduation present. The cabin was very clean and comfortable with all of the necessary items. The lake was beautiful and clear with great fishing. We will return again!

Nostalgic Cottage on a Stunning Lake
Blue Lake, how have we never met before?! I would compare the water to that of Mackinac Island, with incredible turquoise and aqua shades. The pictures I took looked fake, the water was that gorgeous. The dock was fantastic to launch, float, or flop off of. The bottom was clear and clean, and ranges from hard sand to quite soft. We fished with varying luck but great fun. The sunsets were spectacular. The cottage was perfect for our family, and reminded me of the cottages I grew up going to. The pictures are accurate, and many things included were not listed (their WiFi was great, they have a modern TV and extensive cable, there are plenty of fans, two grills, etc), so our expectations were exceeded. The beds were comfy and the appliances all worked. It is clearly a well-loved and cared for space, and we loved our time there. Thanks again!
