"The room we were given was not what we booked. When asked for the room we booked we were shown an incredibly run down version of it in a building that was undergoing repairs so we opted for the room they initially assigned. It costs $50000 UGX to get a ride to town so we felt a bit trapped but I’m sure people accustomed to resorts are used to this. "Quiet and quaint during an early march visit. I think we were the only people staying there! Pool was great, and our room was right on the lakes edge. 50meters from the ferry terminal. Perfect if you’re looking for cheap and cheerful but don’t expect much more than the perfect base to explore the island"

"I stayed 2 nights in a Mirembe cottage- my friend had the cottage next door and we had a dedicated outside eating area, from where we were served our food.We were served by James who was consistently courteous and efficient .We felt like film stars on a tropical island as we ate delicious food sitting by the lake watching a wide variety of birds - it was just such a treat!"
