Nestled amongst the native forest at the foot of Kahuroa Mountain in the beautiful Kaiuma Bay, Kahuroa House is a purpose built bach/lodge designed to accommodate small groups or extended families. Only 30 minutes drive from the sleepy town of Havelock, this lodge is the perfect getaway for walking or cycling groups, fisher folk, groups of friends, or families.
Kahuroa House is a funky modern build boasting a native bush outlook through expansive glass, sea views from the deck and living spaces, large decks with outdoor fire and to top it off a hidden bath grotto set amongst tree ferns. Two sleeping pods are connected to the main building via a covered walkway, one pod with a queen bed, the other with two sets of bunks. Both pods have fridges, tea and coffee making facilities, and window seats with private views into the surrounding bush. The main building features a fully equipped kitchen, living space with cosy woodburner, mezzanine with sofa bed, and separate bedroom with king bed or two singles. The bathroom space is a joy to behold with two of everything including separate shower rooms. This is a bach of modest proportions and designed to create a quirky holiday vibe quite different to your normal day to day living.
The Kaiuma Bay boat ramp and jetty, a mere 500m from the property, is ideal for launching your boat, swimming, kayaking or throwing a rod in with the kids. The Nydia track, popular with both walkers and mountain bikers, starts or finishes at Kaiuma Bay and can be accessed directly from this property. Our residence is next door to Kahuroa House and with our local knowledge of the region we're right there to assist in making sure your holiday in Kaiuma Bay is a memorable one.
With a host of short walking tracks, native bush and small streams to cool off in at the doorstep, or simply relax and unwind in this bespoke lodge, Kahuroa House is the perfect place to hide-away.
