Rare BEACH FRONT Home at Kona Surf and Racquet Club

Our "Hale Honu" (turtle house) is a rare find in Kona. There are many ocean view homes in Kona but very few beach front properties. You can walk out the back door to your own semi-private beach and drop yourself in the sand. Watch the whales, dolphins and manta rays. Turtles find this beach a quiet and peaceful resting place so enjoy them from a distance as they sleep on the sand. A few minutes down the beach you will see native Hawaiian Petroglyphs and Heiau's. You will not have to leave the property to enjoy all the amazing culture.

Look out over the grassy lawn from your lanai that previews the tropical shrubbery where your own path to the beach only a few steps away. The beach is an oasis to put on reef walker shoes and explore the home of Hawaiian sea turtles or to spread out beach chairs or mats and share some first-class beach time with those you love. All sorts of tropical birds are attracted to the lush tropical growth in our location and will often wait for a treat just off the lanai.

Enjoy your oceanfront location with seating for four at a dining table with glass top in the shade of your covered lanai with overhead ceiling fan. Stretch out on the lounge if you are trying to add to that summer tan. Have a morning cup of Kona coffee with your breakfast that can be handed via a pass through window from the kitchen or in the evening; have a BBQ or your own prepared gourmet dinner with an incredible sunset for your backdrop. There is no better location in any restaurant in Kona.

Located on world-famous Ali'i Drive the Keauhou Kona Surf and Racquet Club is a 4-star Oceanfront Resort located 4.5 miles south of Kailua-Kona town. This gated complex is just 1/8 mile away from the Keauhou Shopping Center, which has a grocery store, restaurants, shops, a bank, a post office and a cinema. Even better ,we are a 1/2 mile from one of the most popular snorkeling beaches in Hawaii - Kahalu'u State Park (also known as Turtle Beach).

Your home away from home is a two story, two bed, two bath island home close to both the pool and ocean in your backyard. This home has been beautifully decorated with an elegant but homey quaint romantic cottage feel. It was recently remodeled to include: AC throughout, new appliances and everything you would need to call home and have a great vacation.
Watch the sunset from the beach or your Lanai and enjoy the sunrise in your bed looking out over the water and waves. Enjoy all the attention to details for your full enjoyment to include high speed WiFi, iPhone speakers, Netflix and more.This is the perfect place for you to get away and enjoy all of what Kona has to offer. Amazing Vacation Location

Peaceful beachfront condo!
The location of this property can't be beat. You are right on the ocean with a beautiful beach steps from the door. The condo is well decorated - like staying in a home instead of a rental. It was so peaceful and cozy we really hated to leave. Nancy was great about communicating with us. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful ocean front property
Loved this townhome with plenty room for a family of five. We easily cooked meals and enjoyed the spectacular sunset on the small black rock beach in front of the unit. Easy access to Kailua Kona and all its offerings. The unit itself has been updated and tastefully decorated. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Ocean Front Property
This property is true to pictures. The view is really even more beautiful! We were two couples and the rooms and bathrooms worked well. Beds were comfortable and the air conditioning and overhead fans worked perfectly. This was all of our first trip to the Big Island. It is definitely quiet and perfect for a couples retreat or catching up with friends of thirty years like we did.

Cozy, clean, good location
This condo was clean and well equipped (nice and plentiful bath towels!). The location is beautiful, although not a swimming beach. Everything worked, including A/C as needed. We enjoyed having meals on the lanai. The complex is very quiet, which is what we had hoped for. The swimming pool is nothing special, no view and could use a refresh. The shopping center up the hill was convenient with a grocery store and good restaurants. The only suggestion I have would be to put thicker cushions on the lounge chairs. We enjoyed our stay!

Quiet Oceanfront Condo
Private and relaxing oceanfront unit in a well cared for resort. We spent many an hour just reading and relaxing on the lanai where all we could hear was the ocean waves and singing birds. The resort was decorated beautifully for the holidays which made it quite magical in the evening. Stargazing was wonderful as the location was not over lit at night. Parking was designated and convenient to the unit. Condo was well stocked with linens, kitchen was adequate to our needs.

Great location!
We love the KKSRC! Very convenient location, close to everything. The units and grounds are kept very clean. We saw whales and turtles from the back patio. Kahalu'u snorkeling beach is amazing and only 200 yards away. We would reserve this unit again.

An enjoyable stay at the turtle house
My husband, son and I enjoyed our stay at the turtle house. It is located right on the beach (swimming is possible at high tide) and we saw the infamous turtles. It was a short drive to Kona and to Captain Cook’s monument. The condo had everything we needed. Plus lots of amenities on the property including ping pong table and pickle ball. It was great to have paddles as well as beach gear for our use. We were sad to leave this beautiful island.

A beautiful condo with the ocean as your backyard. Highly recommend this place. =)
The condo is beautifully maintained, very clean. The location is perfect, a few minutes south of downtown Kona. The drive into Kona along Ali'i dr. is gorgeous in the morning/sunset. First time using VRBO. Stayed in touch with owner a lot, very nice & responsive to all my questions. After A day of exploring the island, coming back to the condo was like coming home.

Condo is centrally located. Three hours south is volcano. Two hours north is Kohala coast. Minutes north is downtown Kona. Private beach with fantastic views of the water. Everything you would need to cook meals with are available. Close to famous snorkeling spots. We hated to leave

Nice condo in beautiful location
Really enjoyed having the ocean right outside the window and being able to walk to the black sand beach maybe 100 feet to the south to watch schools of yellow tang fish feed in the surf. The unit, although small, had a well equipped kitchen. Could use bathroom fans. And although the in-room safe is a definite plus, the fact that it didn’t lock and no one could figure out how to get it to do so while we were there was a drawback. All in all though the location makes this one a winner.

Paradise found
We stayed at this wonderful home for 5 nights as part of our recent vacation in Hawaii. The home is just as advertised and the view from the patio is grand. Great place to have that morning cup of coffee and listening to the waves just feet away. Also having a well equipped kitchen and washer/dryer make life a breeze. We look forward to returning in the very near future.

Beautiful view!
We had a wonderful vacation at "Turtle House". I liked that we were close to Kona but outside the crazy busy area, close to a grocery store and restaurants and easy access to the highway. Nice bedrooms and lanai. Should have opted for the air conditioning, it was unseasonably hot while there even when it rained. The views of the ocean made up for it though. It was also very quite and peaceful. Great vacation!

Master bedroom of dreams!
Excellent location by a wonderful and sparsely populated tide pool beach. The master bedroom is everything good. Incredibly comfy bed, and heavenly views of the water. The ocean is so close its almost like being on a boat. Lulled to sleep by the sound of waves every night. Thank you so much for sharing with us. Loved it.

Our stay at this property was just wonderful! It fit our family of 5 perfect. The grounds, view, location to town/beaches, pool were outstanding. The condo had everything we needed. Stunning Sunsets!
The main picture on VRBO is very accurate! The property is in a great location for Sunsets and relaxing by the ocean. The townhome was a little smaller than expected but other than that it suited us just fine. We snorkeled only once in that area bc it’s too rocky but we waded out amongst the volcanic rock and saw plenty of fish, turtles and other sea life. The pool was great and a good place to go to cool off after a long day of sightseeing. ‘The townhome could use some maintenance and updates but was well stocked and great location. We were very happy with our stay!

Paradise!
My wife, son, and I stayed here from the 19th through 24th of August to celebrate his 30th and my 60th birthday. It was as good, if not better, than the description online. From the back, we watched sea turtles and dolphins in the am and hung out on the beach to watch fish from the coral reef swim up to us. The house was immaculate and the accommodations were top notch throughout. The location on the Big Island was ideal for visiting any place. I could not improve on the experience and the home.

Awesome location and great place!
Great place which accommodated 2 couples for 6 nights in paradise. The property location is perfect for walks on the beach area right outside the door. Close to a grocery store, pharmacy, a coffee farm (Greenwell) and a few breweries (Kona - which has food and Ola). We saw turtles almost every day just a short walk from the condo, which was really cool. I strongly recommend the AC if visiting during periods of 85+F/29.4+C and high humidity, we opted for the AC prior to our trip because the temp was consistently 90+F/32.2C during the day and just a bit cooler for the evening with very high humidity. When visiting Hawaii again in the future, if this location is available, then we will book it again.

Big Island from Your VRBO
What a lovely stay. We felt lucky to be at one of the units that had A/C, it was so useful when we were there. The picture from the view on the website doesn't do it justice - we rushed back from a day out to make it in time to see the sunset from the lanai, playing board games, having drinks and eating snacks with our kids. The unit is well stocked for beachgoers - umbrella, beach toys for little kids, beach chairs, a mat. We cooked daily in the kitchen as well, which was also well stocked. The fridge has filtered water and ice. All in all, we hope the unit will be available when we visit Big Island again.

Great little paradise on the beach!
The home was very comfortable and as expected based on the photos and then some! Kitchen is well equipped with everything one might need although we did not use anything other than the fridge. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was so wonderful! I need to know where the comforter is from as we need them at home! There are items such as a cooler, snorkeling gear and pool noodles I believe which came in handi when snorkeling in the ocean which was a few steps from the lanai. Every morning we walked along the beach looking for turtles or whales... we did see a few turtles and yellow tangs from the beach. We definitely would recommend this little slice of paradise and plan to return next year!
