IDEALLY LOCATED AT MAGIC SANDS BEACH!

ALSO KNOW AS WHITE SANDS OR DISAPPEARING SANDS BEACH. Some times our sand goes out into the bay. When that happens there is a great swimming beach nearby named Kahalu.

This is the Kona side of the Big Island! The favorite surfing and boogie boarding beach! Lots of fun! Swim, relax, snorkel, catch a wave!
Gentle rolling waves on the beach below the condo and a great popular sandy beach a few feet away, great oceanfront swimming pool, bbq's and lawn.

Kona Magic Sand has under 37 apartments , never crowded.

There's a lovely park right next door on the other side of the property with lawn and shady trees.Hula demonstrations are see in this great oceanfront park. Farmers market a short distance drive featuring a dazzling array of tropical fruits, flowers and Island produce.


Everything you will need to prepare a gourmet meal or make reservation at one of the many fine eateries near by. There is the Keahou Shopping Center about 3 min drive away and downtown Kona about 10 min drive. There are plenty of places to eat and things to do!
The is an open air shuttle that runs during the day for $2.00 to take you to and back from down town Kailua Kona or Keauhou Shopping Center. It stops right out in front. So easy!

We enjoyed our stay at this little condo right on the ocean. Stayed for 9 nights. Has a lovely view of the ocean with a screen door that we had open at night so we could fall asleep listening to the waves. The owner was very kind and communicative, and even sent us a gift card for the nearby Magic’s Restaurant as a gift for our honeymoon! Good working shower and stove. The room was a little muggy/hot, and the air conditioning unit was not the best. Not the most clean kept room in the world but decent. Had a couple instances where we saw little tiny bugs in the sink and in the cabinets. But not much. After about the third day there, we didn’t see them again. So take what you will from that. Overall, I’d give the place an 8/10. Very nice location, and good accommodations for my wife and I for the 9 nights we spent there on our honeymoon.

Kona birthday trip
Enjoyed my stay 2 years ago at this property & had to book it again. Another great experience. I love the location. I got to listen to the waves crashing all night, so relaxing! No issues. Cute lil condo. Would recommend staying here if you’re in Kona & want that ocean view as well as Magic Sands Beach just 2 mins away.

My son rally enjoyed his second trip to Hawaii, in part, thanks to the property owner who stocked the unit with snorkeling gear (important for my son). The view and sound of the ocean from the unit was great. The small friendly beach was quite close. But the big island is really big and one week may not be enough to see all its wonderful spots…

The unit had all what we were looking. Parking for rental, oceanfront view, kitchenette, and a bed. They were extraordinary additions like beach towels, beach chairs, body boards, snorkel gear, coffeemaker toaster, microwave, laundry (quarters only), pool, etc. The unit is literally next door to Magic Sands Beach, 15-20 minutes to “downtown” Kailua, 2 miles to grocery store, 20-30 minutes to airport, 2 hours (on HWY 11) to Volcano Park and 2.5 hours going back from Saddle Rd. which is a driving experience I can’t explain in little words. We had the most relaxing stay listening to the waves as we go to sleep, breathtaking view of the ocean and sunset. We will definitely come back and hope to stay here again. Thank you for hosting us! Escaping the cold of Alaska
We were looking for a central location to access lots of activities ranging from hiking to, of course, beach activities. The Magic Sands beach and amazing sunsets were literally out the front door. It was an easy drive or longer walk/bike to shopping and restaurants. The Magic Sands restaurant below was very good too! Shave ice right across the street. The condo had all the conveniences we needed even though we didn’t cook. Loved having beach towels and beach equipment. We would come back in a heartbeat!

Fantastic place to stay, sliding doors open over the ocean, great view of the sunset every night. Well stocked kitchen to whip up breakfast and lounge around watching the sun light up the sea. Hardly a walk to magic sands beach, and the restaurant downstairs is great for dinner or a beachfront night-cap.

Great condo!
Great location! Close to Kona. We loved the beach right beside the condo and the Magic Grill restaurant was convenient. The condo was clean and ocean view was amazing. Easy check in and check out process. I loved that they provided beach chairs. We didn't cook but it seemed like they had all of the basics. Would highly recommend and would stay here again in the future.

There was good and bad about our stay. The unit was clean and outfitted with what we needed including a full closet of beach toys. It was right on the water with wonderful views of the sunset. A very nice beach was next door. Therre is a nice restaurant in the building with good food and excellent service. Alice was easily available via text and quickly resolved the few issues we had upon check in. The bad news was that the unit was more like a studio apartment rather than a one bedroom. The building and unit are older and need updated. Just for information, there was no deck to sit on and watch the sunset. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again if we visit Kona.

The location is very good. Next to the Magic sand beach. However, amenities of the property are old and not clean. I hope that owner would take care amenities such as kitchin. There were many out dated seasonings and oils in the kitchin. I think that owner should throw them away before next customers.

Great spot, ocean lulls you to sleep!
This condo is wonderful. Right next to one of our favorite beachs, Magic Sands, and above a great restaurant/bar. I slept so well with the sounds of ocean waves. Everything you need is there in the condo for cooking, cleaning and going to the beach.

Location Location Location
Wonderful, older well kept unit, especially nice being on ocean side made it perfect, being on 2nd floor allowed slider doors to stay open while sleeping. Parking spot plus extra parking for visitors. Close to town without being in that busy area. Large patio slider doors allowed for unobstructed Ocean VIEWS, ocean breeze and ocean sounds every morning when waking and night when going to sleep. Bed very comfortable for us. Bonus: 2 boogie boards, 2 beach chairs, towels, blankets, snorkel gear but we still rented own, though those would of worked. Kitchen equipped with everything needed, including seasoning, oil, syrup, pots, pans utensils, dishes, etc saved over eating out always. Alice (owner) was great to communicate with. Having a nice clean pool, patio and BBQ grill added to the experience right on the ocean. Magic sands Grill was attached to building also a bonus.
