Enjoy this beautifully upgraded condo with a terrific view of the ocean overlooking the pool area. This nicely decorated, modern condo has everything you could need to make you feel at home in paradise. Be sure to see the virtual video tour. The link to the video is the arrow or partial image to the left of the main picture above. The video tour shows how great this unit is and the wonderful view.

Gorgeous wooden flooring, and a comfortable living area with a large screen TV is just the beginning of what is to be your home base while in Hawaii. The full kitchen has a dishwasher, range, oven, microwave, refrigerator and freezer and is fully stocked with everything needed for that 'at home' feeling. The bedroom has a comfortable pillow top king bed, and since this is an end unit, there are windows in every room. A washer and dryer is located right in the unit, and of course it has air conditioning. Unlike other units that only have a wall air conditioner in the living room, this beautiful unit is air conditioned throughout, including the bedroom. High speed internet (WiFi) as well as free calling to the US Mainland and Canada is included at no extra charge.

Of the 130 units at the Kona Reef, less than a dozen have air conditioning throughout the unit. Others have a wall AC unit in the living room, but this condo has AC for the entire unit including the bedroom. While it is cooler at night, the added benefit of a bedroom that is cool can be pretty enjoyable on hot evenings.

Enjoy the ocean front pool and spa as well as the immaculate BBQ area. It is a great place to watch those fantastic Kona sunsets, while you put a fresh Mahi-Mahi on the grill.

This is one of many 1 bedroom units we have at the Kona Reef. We also have two bedroom ocean front units as well as one bedroom ocean front units. If this unit is not available for the dates you need, we probably have another fine unit available.

The Kona Reef is just 1 1/2 block from town, and is the most convenient location for a stay in Kona. You can easily walk to restaurants, shops, and the farmer's market in a few minutes, without having to drive.

Another enjoyable stay for us at Kona Reef. We enjoy the short walk to restaurants and stores and to be oceanside with a nice pool area. You can walk a quiet backstreet near the ocean to Kona bay and stores. Parking garage is easy.

Our stay was great. The location of the unit on the property had a nice view and was a very functional location. The balcony is a nice size, has a storage cupboard with a couple of boogie boards and has a nice size table as well. The A/C in the bedroom is a big plus along with having a washer and dryer in the unit as well. The unit is very user friendly and everything was in good working order and a comfortable king bed. The property is great being that it is ocean front with the pool and hot tub ocean front as well. The pool and tub temperature were perfect and in good working order.

Great choice in Kona
Property was so welcoming and clean. The owner provided a welcome basket of goodies, including coffee and chocolates! We loved the view, the kitchen with plenty of everything, and beach chairs and foam boogie boards to use. The size of the unit is very nice as well, quite roomy, with a huge lanai, and the bedroom felt large. There are so many of these condos in the same age bracket along the shore I believe we picked a good one.

KRC - wonderful view, great location!
We enjoyed our stay very much. Construction on going but bearable. Bed was OK but we changed the sheets after one nite, the ones on there should have been disposed of. Also the right side of bed squeaked a lot, needs some TLC. Nice clean unit with a nice balcony. Great amenities , pool hotel & BBQ. We would definitely visit again! 🏝

Kona Reef is the perfect location to what you want! Lots of shops restaurants beaches in walking distance! The Condo is as described beautiful view even better ocean view then what the picture shows! Washer dryer right in the unit. Starter soap shampoo and other goodies left on the table for snacking. Would definately stay here again! Ken was very easy to communicate with and kind. Memories to last a lifetime!

Gorgeous View-Very Nice Grounds
Complex great, easy walking to town, restaurants and shops. Perfectly located to all sites of interest on the Big Island. An excellent view from the condo patio. Lots of amenities for cooking and enjoying your time here. I would suggest a couple things, the blind in the bedroom needs to be fixed. The mattress probably should be replaced as it 10 years old and the linens could be replaced with Costco linens. Doing this the condo would look and feel like a four-star rather than the three star that it is. The condo is clean and has equipment for snorkeling and the beach. I would recommend it for people on a budget.

Wanted a property walkable to restaurants and shops. Kona Reef did not disappoint in regards to location. I liked that I never had an issue finding a parking spot near the unit. Condo had an amazing ocean view from the lanai. Was a bonus that air conditioning unit was in living area and bedroom. Only negative was that it was required to start a load of laundry and take out all trash. I understand the need, but I also paid for housekeeping. This was the first time in all of my stays on the Islands that it was required.

The condo was dirty, floors, kitchen cabinets and dishes were dirty. The floor under the bed was grimy. Screen and windows were filty, as the railing and the furnitures on the balcony. It took us 2 days to make it somewhat acceptable. And the wifi was not working for 3 days. The shower had to be cleaned with soap and Javex. This place had NOT BEEN RENOVATED. It needs revamping.

.overall a good property. However, the bed was uncomfortable and creaked on one side Could do with some new fitting bed sheets Wooden window blinds did not run smoothly and close proximity to outside footpath could be noisy at times. Trash collection on Mondays resulted in noisy wake-up call at 4 30 - 5 am.. The main problem was the controls on the cooker required one to stoop and peer under the microwave which was fitted too close to the stove top. Likewise, controls for the washing machine required use of a flashlight to see correct settings. Ancient beach chairs probably ready for retirement. Location of unit, reasonable sea views but limited by wall of adjoining unit,but good enough to enjoy whales. The communal grilling area was spotless but the fumes from various meals being grilled each evening lasted anything up to a couple of hours.
