You are invited to rest and relax in “Ka Hale Lai” , Kailua’s House of Serenity, 5 minutes to the beach, and a short drive to the heart of Kailua town. This is a Legal, licensed vacation rentalNUC#90/BB0034. You will feel like you are visiting old Hawaii in this classic home. Enjoy modern conveniences like AC in every room and new kitchen and bathrooms.

We are located in a quiet Kailua neighborhood called Kaimalino—a short walk away from Turtle Beach. We are walking distance from a grocery store and restaurants but away from the busier Kailua town. We are close to the H-3 on ramp which can get you to the airport in 25 minutes. Sand bar and fishing charters available for additional fee if available.

Perfect for our family, including five adults and three teen girls.

Very convenient location to beautiful beaches, restaurants and shopping. We were in Kailua for two of our teens gymnastic competition. The pool was a bit cool but the girls made great use of it every day. And the hot tub was wonderful after long days. The house was very well stocked.

Great Base for Exploring Oahu

We had 3 couples and each couple had their own BR and bathroom. The hot tub and pool were a great way to relax when we returned from our adventures each day. There are large indoor common spaces including a spacious kitchen, living and family rooms. On top of that is a great covered outdoor sitting and dining area by the pool. The location lends itself to exploring the North Shore, Waikiki, the pali lookout and hiking, etc.

Great House!

Serenity house was perfect for our mixed aged group: beautiful pool, lots of areas to relax both inside and outside, large yard to play in, very comfortable beds. We also loved the location. Without hesitation, we would stay here again!

A true gem!

Wonderful property, such a great spot to really relax and walking distance from the beach and lots of other amenities. Pool and hot tub and whole backyard was such a plus. Loved the outdoor living area too! Highly recommend ☺️☺️☺️

Beautiful home

The pictures are accurate. There's a large pool, and a hot tub on the property, with a large yard for playing games in - with privacy from the road / neighbors. There's an outdoor seating area to play games and watch TV. The master suite is separate from the 'main' house - which is also nice. 4 spacious bedrooms, and a nice kitchen. The location is nice as well, you're pretty close to a bunch of restaurants, Target, Safeway, etc. Highly recommended!

Hawaii Family vacation

This house was exactly as described and more. We were in Hawaii as a family for my brother-in-law retirement from Marine Corps. This house allowed us a space to hang out as a family - grill, use pool and hot tub but also a good spot to hit many attractions -Waikiki, Sandy beach, diamond head and more. Kitchen , bedrooms and bath rooms are also very nice. It was a great place to stay - Wow!

Amazing location and Property.

Fantastic place for family and friends to gather! Property is really amazing; accommodations, gathering space, pool, backyard, distance to beach and other daily needs could not be better. We were a bit worried about the big road behind the house but this was not an issue what so ever. The only thing I would comment on is the overall cleanliness and specifically the kitchen. At this price level we expected something better! Kitchen is equipped OK’ish but very messy and not clean. Would not take much to get this property to a very impressive level all around.

This place is amazing, but more importantly it was immaculate and well provisioned when we arrived. Everything you need for a long distance vacation holiday was already available, for both the pool and beach. Our hosts were helpful and gracious, and we look forward to another visit. Wonderful Family Reunion

This was a wonderful space for my family to reunite for a celebration of life. Cousins, aunties and uncles from all over were able to join us for an evening in a beautiful and comfortable space. Great stay for our first Hawaiian visit

House is as advertised, in a very nice residential neighborhood. Amenities were very close by. Chris and Sara were wonderful hosts, answered our questions promptly prior to booking and made themselves available if we had issues (we didn't). If I had to mention anything, the second shower in the house was a little small but we had two other bathrooms so not a deal breaker by any means. If I'm ever in Oahu I will definitely try to book this property again! Thanks Chris & Sara for your hospitality!

Peaceful retreat

We stayed with our 4 kids (6-12 years) & my parents. We appreciated the pool & hot tub, backyard with avocado & plumeria trees, space to spread out or gather. Nice neighborhood & location, away from the busy of Honolulu. Kitchen well-stocked. Host responsive when sheets didn’t fit correctly. Downsides - some beds/bedding could be updated. Pool very cold (kids braved it, but hard for adults) - though admittedly we were there in December. Overall, great stay. Lovely home.

Lovely home, lovely time

We truly enjoyed our visit this past week. Though our visit was a celebration of life and not the happiest of times it was wonderful to come together as a family. Chris and Sara's home is truly beautiful and peaceful. We had a delightful time. Chris made himself available to us via phone when we called regarding our not locating the broom. We feel terrible for leaving the floor dirty after 5 days but we never could locate the broom. There were a few ants in the kitchen and the Keurig, but we quickly solved the problem by placing all the food in the refrigerator and not using the Keurig and buying a can of spray which we left behind for the next guests.
