Great place to call home on our trip to Oahu!
Perfect quiet, peaceful location. Close to everything we wanted to do on the North Shore. Access to the beach was amazing and very close. We will stay here the next time we come back. The house had everything that we needed and was a great home base. We had no issues at all.
What a great property! Everything we needed and more. Great location with proximity to the beach and ….oh the beach! So private and perfect. Really enjoyed this one. Going to have to rebook again soon!
I stayed for over a month at this lovely, peaceful place in Kahuku. You would need a car to enjoy the area. A bit of tight quarters when my sister was visiting but very comfortable for one person or perhaps a couple. Well-laid out and equipped with microwave, one cup coffee maker, full-size fridge and even a hot plate and pans. Host was very responsive to my request for a few small additional items. Best of all, short walk to a beautiful beach. Usually I was the only person on the beach. I can't say enough about this gem!

Great place to stay!
My family and I had the best time during our trip and a lot of it had to do with where we stayed. It was perfect for us. We love the the feel of staying on the country side instead of busy Waikiki. The drive to the place is filled with beautiful scenery and it is located near some amazing beaches not overwhelmed with tourists. Anthony does a great job of making staying in this home effortless. His point of contacts were extremely prompt to respond. The home is extremely comfortable and gave my kids an authentic Hawaiian experience. Definitely going to stay here again!

Quirky little house met our needs
If you are looking for a place close to the beach, away from noise and crowds and you don't need luxury, this place will work for you. We enjoyed our stay here.
Pros:
Location-close to the beach, away from the crowds
Lots of towels
Nicely furnished kitchen
Pretty bathroom
Clean
Cons:
Sofa beads were terrible, like sleeping on springs
Water heater was weak and needs to be replaced
Only one side of the grill worked and the lid didn't shut all the way and it was old and rusty-needs to be replaced
AC is a portable unit in the main room only, no AC in bedrooms

We loved our stay here!! Thank you!
We absolutely loved and were very delighted to stay in Anthony's rental home! We stayed 14 nights, this past July and into August. Our family of 4 (2 adults, 1 teenager and a grandparent) had more than sufficient room and we were extremely comfortable.
The home is very clean and has all the necessities you could need during your stay. Lots of towels provided and beach towels as well. Bathroom is very nice and remodeled.
Beds and pillows were great, everything was so clean!
Kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal and you can grill outside as well.
All the appliances are very nice and clean.
The outdoor shower is very nice to rinse sand off, etc.
The quiet area the home is located in, the country feel with so much privacy was phenomenal and better than we pictured it to be!!
The home is very easy to reach and is in very close vicinity to grocery stores and places to eat.
All the photos are 100% accurate and so is the description.
Loved our stay!!
Thank you Anthony!!

Beautiful place, but address consistency needed
The house is lovely and well maintained in a quiet neighbourhood close to a wild empty beach. It could use a kettle though. I would have given it four stars if it wasn't for our initial experience finding the place and the misrepresentation of location. After booking the house based on the vrbo map location, I was sent an email from VRBO with an address, door code etc. After 20 hours of travel with two children we got off the plane and made our way to the point on the VRBO map, but the addresses on this street were nowhere near the one we were sent. We followed the main road looking for the number. Couldn't find it. We followed a link from the email and found a second house number. After driving around for an hour we tried calling and texting Anthony and his partner. Calls went straight to voicemail (we left a message), and texts wouldn't go through due to lack of cell reception. We finally got ahold of him three hours later with very hungry tired children, $300 of warm groceries, and us starting to wonder if we'd been had. He had forgotten to send us the welcome email with yet a third address. After getting that number we were able to find the place and get checked in, but not before everyone was quite miserable. The ironic part is that had the correct address been sent out in the initial email from VRBO then we would have found it much earlier as we were sitting in front of the correct address hours earlier saying "we should be close" - sigh. Long story short, the address info needs to be cleaned up and the map location corrected. Even the address on the welcome manual is wrong. I'm not sure why there are so many different house numbers/locations floating around, but it made for a really terrible start to our vacation.
We really enjoyed our stay. We loved it was in walking distance to a beach and close to food, grocery stores, and activities. We found the property to have all the amenities we needed for the week we stayed. This is a great rental and we’d recommend it to everyone.
W head a great time at this house. They have everything we needed, it was clean and in a good location not right in Waikiki. There are food truck vendors and a local grocery store right next to the house.
We absolutely loved every minute of our stay at this house in Kahuku Village. It was very hard to leave as it started to feel like home! But we'll be back and we're very much looking forward to it! Thanks Anthony!
Cozy island plantation, home away from home place; away from the busy city, away from tourists and away from traffic. My 3 teenager kids enjoyed our stay here tremendously. They were able to do morning workout conditioning on the beach at sunrise, go sun tanning, watch the whales play in the ocean....alone like our own private beach.
With several family members on the island as an option to stay this was absolutely perfect. Plus it had Amazingly comfortable beds.
One item of initial concern was the front door. It was severely warped due to the moisture. You needed a shoulder or a strong wrist to open and close it. Luckily my son was able to handle it daily as I was not able to. We informed and It should be fixed for the next family.
Our family didn't want to leave! The safe and friendly neighborhood made us feel right at home. Anthony was great to work with the home was comfortable. This is a great property for a family! Our kids especially enjoyed the beach toys and body boards. Upon arrival the neighbors behind the home offered to let us borrow surf boards as well and gave us some tips. The location is close to the beach and Polynesican Cultural Center. Would definitely recommend!
If Island Beach House in Paradise is Still Available, Book It! Great Value for Rural Hawaii at its Best! Very Comfortable and Perfect for a Small Family! Wake up to Ocean Breezes, Country Living and Wide Open Spaces! Air-Conditioning in Every Bedroom and Main Living Area! Well Stocked with Essentials and some Nice Extras! Conveniently Located in the Center of North Shore Entertainment! Walking Distance to the Beach and Many Food Trucks! We are a family of 6 and we enjoyed our stay very, very very much. Mahalo!
The property was great. Location was great. The place has everything you need. The only reason why I gave it a low rating is because the place was dusty and had a musty smell. The kitchen window sill had dust and dirt like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. There were bugs on the outside of the screen stuck to it. The fridge had fingerprint smudges on the outside which could've been wiped down. The bedroom with the King bed connected to the room with 2 beds had a dead cockroach on the floor. The roach looked like it's been dead for awhile and was probably overlooked when cleaning. The floors were also dirty but not a big deal cause we swept it. There's a floorboard in the living room under the chair by the main door that looked like it didn't fit so it has a space or hole and the chair is covering it. I think if we're not able to do an early check in due to housekeeping has to clean and prepare the place for the next guest, then expectations are it should be clean and smells fresh but that wasnt the case. The beach I wouldn't recommend swimming there unless you're a strong swimmer. We ended up driving to a different beach. Just these minor and simple fixes otherwise we had a great stay.
Our favorite thing about the house was the private beach. It was a short walk and afforded beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We also liked the outdoor area, but for lounging it really needed several more chairs. There were only 3 comfortable chairs and two small wood benches with splinters. The picnic table on the deck was great and we ate all of our meals there. I would have to go back to the listing but I don't think it was clear that you had to go through the second bedroom to get to the third bedroom. We worked it out but it took away the privacy from the adults staying in those 2 rooms. All in all, the house had all we needed and was a good value. The neighborhood was very peaceful.
This rental home was very pleasant and quiet, beds were very comfortable, the yard was big enough to play catch with the kids. The private beach was a close walk with wonderful views though I wouldn't swim there unless you were a strong swimmer. Close to all the North Shore activities and away from the hustle and bustle of the big city crowds (but obviously within driving distance to have a fun day in Honolulu).
It feels like a home away from home. Great house with all the amenities you may need. The location is perfect. A short drive to all North Shore surf spots. There is a beautiful beach a few minutes walk away too. Highly recommended. Anthony is an excellent host!
As advertised. No problems. Quiet neighborhood. AC in living room not adequate to really make it cool in the kitchen/living room area. Bedroom AC units are adequate.
We planned our trip to Hawaii to attend a wedding at Turtle Bay. We picked this house due to the location and accommodations. This house met all of our expectations. The neighborhood was very quiet. The house was clean and well accommodating. It was exactly what we needed. Thank you for a great stay!
