What news you have read or heard - There are Legal Short Term Rentals in Hawaii.We are on the short list on the North Shore at Turtle Bay.
This a Family Owned and managed Home. It's is hard to get a more perfect view of the golf course from the lanai of this two bedroom townhome located on the West side of Kuilima Estates at Turtle Bay.
The Master bedrooms is a large bedroom complete with it's own bathroom.
This upgraded and remodeled unit features all amenities including a king bed in the master bedroom with A/C, wireless internet, flat screen TV with Blue Ray, A/C in Livingroom.
The updated kitchen with beautiful cherry wood cabinets has just about everything you need to cook and enjoy meals in the unit or on the newly screened in lanai.
The oversize loft features two queen beds with a newly remodeled bathroom and shower.
The west side of Kuilima Estates at Turtle Bay which has three swimming pools for your convenience. BBQ'ing is available at the pools and there are tennis courts for your enjoyment should you decide to bring rackets along.
You may walk through the grounds of the condo complex or along the main road to access the beach which is under a 10 minute pleasant walk away. Once there you can sun on the beach or swim in the lagoon that is protected from waves most year round.
There are some excellent restaurant choices at the gorgeous Turtle Bay Resort and golf course, and while you may not use the hotel facilities, you are free to eat at the restaurants and use the public beach. Amazing facilities include five restaurants, horseback riding, 12 miles of walking trails, snorkeling, surfing, scuba, helicopter tours, and 5 miles of great beaches - endless opportunities for fun and relaxation. Golfers appreciate the Palmer Championship Course and the Fazio Course with its discounted rates after 4:00 pm.
World famous surf breaks at Sunset Beach, Rocky Point, Pipeline and Waimea Bay are arrayed along North Shore's scenic coastline. Step back in time to old Hawaii and enjoy the beaches, quaint shops and unique restaurants of Hale’iwa. Don't miss Matsumoto’s Shave Ice, the North Shore’s shrimp trucks, or an exciting swim among the Honu, Hawaii's famous and once nearly extinct sea turtle.

Great stay in Turtle Bay
Absolutely amazing time in turtle Bay at this property. The best thing about this rental, was we had access to all of the amenities at the turtle Bay resort. We played at the beach park, we snorkeled, and we even went horseback, riding, all enjoying the nightlife in the resort itself. Highly recommended.

Fantastic Rental
The condo was easy to get to, very clean and perfect for our family of 4 for the week. The gate code, door code & pool code all worked seamlessly. The kitchen is well stocked, and there are towels, chairs & several other items available to take to the beach. I highly recommend this rental unit if you are looking to spend time on the north shore.

We had a wonderful stay. The house was well stocked, especially with kitchen items (including various condiments and spices), and beach items (kid toys, floats, child life preservers and beach chairs), and plenty of beach towels. The pool was great and we enjoyed the convenience of the nearby Turtle Bay hotel shops, restaurants, etc.

Lovely stay on the North Shore
We love this location as it's a short walk to Turtle Bay Resort and some amazingly beautiful beaches. I hope we get to return next year for more amazing view and relaxation.

Great choice. Found everything to be as expected. Well furnished and stocked. Loved the location. Enjoyed sunsets at the hotel’s bar, quick drive to food trucks and Polynesian Cultural Center. Only hiccup was a gate code that didn’t work. Be sure to get a current one in your checkin info.

Wonderful place to stay!
We loved the unit! Paul communicated with us about how to check-in/out, easy directions to get to, it was clean, close to beaches, Food land, quiet neighbors, safe and awesome views. Will definitely book again if we ever get back to Hawaii.

Nice and comfortable condo
We had an amazing time, close to Turtle Bay, however you cant use the facilities of the hotel. Nice and quiet neighbourhood, far distance from Honolulu (much traffic on the road). Nice beach, small swimmingpool. But overall a great condo with everything you need.

So relaxing
My husband and 2 children (12 and 10) stayed here for a week. While it is a walk to get to the beach, we thoroughly enjoyed the pool and atmosphere. We drove down to the turtle bay beach (you can walk in 10 mins) and loved that the beaches were empty. The house had beach chairs, boogie boards, and a fully stocked kitchen. We loved our time here, and hope to be back some day. Definitely check out the food trucks down the road and Ted’s bakery!

Sand, Sun and Family Fun
We had a fantastic stay. If you are looking for a relaxing stay on the north shore of Oahu, this is it! The property manager was quick to respond with any questions we had and gave us A LOT of info about the island that made our trip wonderful. The Kitchen was well stocked. We did a birthday dinner for my father in law and had everything we needed for his special dinner. The only thing I would have liked during our stay might have been a door that closed off the washer and dryer but that was definitely not a deal breaker. The unit was clean and stocked well for 4 ppl for 7 days. The back porch was wonderful for coffee in the morning or snack at night. We look forward to returning here on our next visit to the beautiful island of Oahu for sure!

The property was great. It was beautiful, quiet, and had absolutely everything we needed. Our only issue is that it was listed as having 3 bathrooms and there were only two. I had even asked if there were 3 bathrooms because I only saw 2 in the pictures and was assured there were indeed 3 bathrooms. Having 3 bathrooms was the main reason we chose this rental. We made it fine with just the 2 bathrooms, but we were very disappointed that it had been advertised as having 3.

Great Condo for our Family of Four
This condo worked well for our family of four. We love the location, and the check in was pretty easy. The public beach access at Turtle Bay was fine for snorkeling and pretty good for surfing. It would have been nice to have check out instructions. We were surprised that there was no bath soap in the showers and only a roll or two of toilet paper available. We were headed to the store for some groceries anyway, but it would be good to know ahead of time.

We stayed here in 2021 for our daughter’s graduation trip and couldn’t wait to get back for our next daughter’s graduation trip. It did NOT disappoint! Paul, the manager is great to work with, the location is perfect, and Turtle Bay is a safe, family-friendly environment. They even added things to the amenities like a crockpot/slow cooker which was perfect for having a meal ready after a long, adventure day of surfing, snorkeling, or checking out the island. There are plenty of water toys like body boards to enjoy and beach chairs to use. We were well taken care of. The check-in and check-out process was very easy. During our stay, I had a question and Paul was quick to reply by text. I highly recommend this condo!

Attention to detail
The condo is in an excellent location, the facilities are very good and the North shore of Oahu is one of my favourite places in the world. The only downside was a lack of attention to detail with regard to the cleaning of the condo. However I raised this issue with Paul, the property manager, and he has assured me that this has been taken onboard and will be dealt with.

Felt like staying at a friends condo.
As far as the condo, once checked in, it was clean, and comfortable, and felt like we were staying at a friend's house. No complaints or criticism. It worked perfect for what we were looking for. The one thing I want to add is when we showed up, the gate access code had changed and we could not get into the property. I only mention this because of how it was handled. We called the number provided, and it was answered promptly and it sounds like the gate code had just automatically changed. Within probably 3 minutes, we had the new gate code and were on our way. The only reason I tell you this is because of how it was handled. Things like this happen, but what impressed me was how quickly and nicely it was handled. I mention this because mistakes happen, and it says a lot of about the property manager on how quick this was handled. We had zero other issues over the week we were these, but if we did, I assume they would have been handled in the same professional manner. Thanks again!

We enjoyed staying here. It was great for our family but there were just a few little things that would have made it great. For instance, only 1 roll of toilet paper was provided per bathroom. This was disclosed, but only right before we got on the plane. There wasn’t any dishwasher detergent, or little items you might need for cooking like oil. No shower soap provided. Pros: -location -lots of a/c -2 bathrooms -walk to the beach -beach chairs available for use -screened lanai Cons - don’t provide some basic amenities -something was wrong with the fans, maybe the buttons were wearing out. But the lights would randomly turn on during the night. -neighbor is a resident and stores things by the front door. Overall a nice place to stay.

Decent Condo for the nightly rate
My family of four just stayed in Kuilima West #147 for 20 nights. The condo was overall a 7/8 out of 10, pictures justify the reality of the condo. I own rental properties myself so I would never bash a property in a review unless it’s absolutely necessary. So please know I take writing a review pretty seriously and the items I point out and explain are only to help future families (and at times the owner) I have personally stayed in the turtle bay hotel/condos 3 separate times so I know the area and other properties well. Turtle Bay and Kuilima Beach itself is the nicer part of the North Shore and if your used to more up scale amenities, this is the best spot. That being said the pool that is right outside #147 is a bit outdated and the lounge chairs are not comfortable but it’s a pool 🤷🏻‍♀️ The “security guard” or aka Paul Blart is super annoying when it comes to the grounds and the “pool rules” my boys were playing toss along with about 15 other families over our stay and he comes in pool area huffing & puffing about the water balls 🙄 and practically wanted the kids (not just mine, all of the kids at the condos) to treat condo rec pool like a retirement center. He bummed out the day multiple times for all the families over our 20 night stay. All of the rentals at turtle bay target families and push the “family vacation” but I think they might want to relay the same information to their security guard who feels like he is the no fun police. A few small things...... you definitely need to get paper towels, laundry soap, trash bags and toilet paper before even opening the door at the condos. I thought the kitchen would be a bit more stocked with everyday items. I do want to say that in the rental instructions, it’s VERY clear that absolutely NO SAND is to get into the condo. When we arrived there was sand all in the entry along the baseboards and on the downstairs bathroom tile floor. But your at the beach so sand comes with it, imo. I vacuumed every 2 days. The upstairs bathroom definitely needs a little love. Like with our family the kids stay upstairs so it makes sense that the kids are more hard on the house then the grown ups paying for it. Lol 😆 The toilet paper holder has been patched many times but honestly needs to be replaced bc it’s falling out of the wall. Upstairs toilet seat lid was very wobbly even after my husband tightened the lid. But really overall a great stay and great condo at Turtle Bay 🐢 I would for sure recommend it
