Welcome to Oahu's unspoiled North Shore, where your dreams of a perfect Hawaiian vacation come true with fun filled days and nights to remember. Kulima Estates is nestled in the center of one of the two championship 18 hole golf courses on the grounds of the Turtle Bay Resort. There are 2 pools on the East end development. Beach Stretching for almost 20 miles, the North Shore beaches of Oahu hold endless opportunities to enjoy sunny days and tan lines or take a dip in the turquoise waters. The wide sandy beaches make for a delightful walk along the beach. During the winter months (approximately October to February) the North Shore produces record sized waves reaching heights of 20 feet or more. This could be dangerous for even the experienced waterman/woman. Visitors are highly recommended to look for warning signs on the beach and be cautious around the waterline. However, the summer (from May to September) brings tranquility to the North Shore, with gentle waves along the shoreline ? making it ideal for fishing, swimming, families with smaller children, and diving. Kawela Bay is situated on the northeastern tip of Oahu, the bay is protected from large surf, making swimming and fishing popular activities there. If you prefer long walks on the beach and great shell finding, you can also do these activities along its long stretch of sandy beach. Turtle Bay is located between the eastern point Kawela Bay and the Turtle Bay Hotel and Resort Sunset Beach Technically, Sunset Beach is a two-mile stretch of sand from 'Ehukai Beach to Sunset Point but has been subdivided by wave breaks resulting in a dozen unique surf. This area of beaches is considered the longest stretch of rideable surf spots in the world. The wide sandy beach at Sunset provides families with a pleasant place to play in the sand and explore the shoreline. Ehukai Beach (Banzai Pipeline) In Hawaiian, ehukai means, 'reddish-tinged water' which refers to the color of the sunlight reflected of the spray from a breaking wave at the spot. The locals dubbed the break there, Pipeline because of the massive tube that forms from the curling wave. During the winter months, this beach is not for the inexperienced swimmer or surfer, as waves can reach heights of 10 feet and higher while breaking over sharp reef, no more than a few feet from the surface. Banzai Pipeline is one of the many famous surf spots on the North Shore and constantly attracts popular surfing events. Waimea Beach If you like watching or surfing big waves, this is the place to be. Waimea Bay is notorious for producing monstrous waves in the winter. Big-wave surfers flock to the break every winter hoping to catch the big one. A popular big-wave contest, the Quicksilver Eddie Aikau Invitational, is held at Waimea every year, the only requirement for the contest is that the wave height must be 20 feet or higher for the contest to be held. The shore break at Waimea is one of the most dangerous shore breaks in the world, with lifeguards having to save numerous onlookers that got too close to the water's edge and ended up getting sucked out. Waimea's waters calm down and become flat during the summer months, allowing for excellent snorkeling, swimming, and fishing. Pools Being a resident at Kuilima East or West you may revel in the resort-like amenities ? tennis courts, swimming pools with gazebos and barbecues, a pavilion with picnic tables and barbecues, and spacious grounds with well-maintained tropical landscaping. Restaurants You can find all types of dining on the North Shore. From food trucks to fine dining, The North Shore has something for everyone. The Turtle Bay Resort hotel also has many types of restaurants to select from. LeiLei's is a crowd favorite and is known for their prime rib and fresh island fish. Roy's Beach House is a new restaurant right on the sands of Kuilima Cove.Roy's Beach House serves Pacific Rim cuisine, and a beautiful ocean view and colorful sunsets can be viewed from this restaurant. Driving down the North Shore, you will see many trailers, cooking up shrimp, mah

Review pros and cons
Pros: great location, clean, essentials all provided, easy access, amenities were very good, decorated to feel comfortable with welcoming macadamia nuts! Cons: bathroom although clean, has black mold around tub, paint peeling off walls and cabinets and had to have maintenance come fix the shower(which they promptly did) also has white duct tape on the seams of the floor under the door holding it together. There was construction or something going on the first few days above us which was noisy. Overall, would use again.

Clean and great location!
We enjoyed our stay. We love the Turtle Bay location. Quiet, close to a nice beach, walking trails and away from traffic and crowds. The condo was clean, good AC and stocked with everything we needed. I hope they have plans for some updates. There was some peeling wall paint, stained carpet and torn linoleum, but that was all just visual issues. There was an old hotel room kind of odor (probably from the carpet), but we just opened windows some. All in all it was a great place. Clean is the most important for us.
