This resort’s prime location on the beach in Kahana is perfect. The spacious villas are beautifully appointed. Onsite amenities include underground parking, tennis courts, basketball hoop, swimming pool, children's pool, whirlpool, restaurant and bar, beach with beach amenity rental shack, 2 exercise facilities and barbecue grills. The resort is within a 10-minute drive of 3 championship golf courses which are open to the public. Sands of Kahana is ideal to help create your impeccable Maui vacation. Whether you're looking for a relaxing vacation or fun-filled getaway, you'll find it here. Watch the whales, listen to the surf hitting the shore, and enjoy front row seats to spectacular sunsets, all while relaxing with your favorite beverage!

Plenty of fine dining and family-friendly restaurants are within walking distance from the Sands of Kahana. If you prefer a stay-at-home meal, BBQ right on onsite or enjoy our fully-equipped kitchen with all the amenities right at your fingertips. The Beach House on property serves breakfast, lunch and dinner along with a great Happy Hour! In less than a 5minute walk, enjoy Maui Brewing Company’s locally made beer (and root beer!) along with a fantastic menu. Dollies Pub and Café and Miso Phat are just across the street and also offer tasty cuisine. For convenience, there are two stores nearby with easy grab-and-go deli items and anything you might need without having to go to a larger busy grocery store.

Your condominium will be supplied with beach towels. It will not however be stocked with beach equipment. Too often items break or go missing and it is not feasible to track and replace the items. Sullivan Properties, Inc firmly believes in recycling & lowering the carbon footprint we leave on this planet! If items are purchased or acquired by guests and are still in good condition, we are happy to leave them in the unit for others to enjoy. If they are extremely dirty or broken, we must toss them out. There are places nearby that rent beach amenities – your property might also have an onsite rental shack. Most of the rental places nearby offer daily or weekly rates. Please note, we are not endorsing these companies simply providing the more popular options in the area : Snorkel Bobs in the Kahana Gateway Center, Boss Frogs in the Napili Plaza and Boss Frogs in Kahana Manor. Great time at Sands of Kahana
Sands of Kahana was a great place to stay! The unit was comfortable, clean, supplied with what we needed, and had the most incredible views and a great beach. Lots to do and see in the area with incredible restaurants and shopping nearby.

Clean property, great view.
Overall a nice, clean condo with beautiful views. The elevator was not working for 6 days out of 8 days, was tiring to climb 7 flights up after a long day of swimming and hiking. I dont know how the elderly folks who stayed did it.

This particular property is fantastic. Everything in the condo room was perfect. So well equipped. However the overall resort property, is a little run down, though the condo owner can’t do much about that. The beds will probably need to be replaced soon. We had some sore backs. We wished it had AC but even in the middle of July, we didn’t need it.

My family and I loved the property. Great views and great memories. The listing was great and no complaints from my end. Location was close to many beaches and attractions. Highly recommend and would definitely come back with the family.

We had the trip of a lifetime staying at this beautiful condo. It truly was just as beautiful being home as doing all the “Maui” getaways. This unit was perfectly stocked for a family stay from toys to kitchen essentials. Looking out the window you can see the pool, vacationers and many a turtle. We loved our stay ❤️

Only downside was,( while staff was great), the food and drinks at the bar was mediocre. We had a great vacation and hope to return.

Beautiful view
The unit was clean and had GORGEOUS views! Saw whales, monk seals and turtles from the balcony everyday. There is no AC, but with the sliding doors to the balcony and the windows in the kitchen create and nice breeze. Highs were upper 70's and we were comfortable. The building itself could use some help. Slow elevators, pool and hot tub needed to be cleaned.

Would have been good to know that the 3rd bedroom has 2 twin beds but the 2nd bedroom has 2 full size beds. Kitchen was very well equipped. Kitchen sink needs repair, had to use a soap bottle to keep it shut off. have stayed at SoK previously and has always thought each unit should have been stocked with glass cleaner because of all the glass top tables. Pest control and window service was done and we were asked to be gone during these times. has to clean the unit ourselves because we couldn't give housekeepers 24 hours notice cleaning needed to be done which charged an additional fee. Loved our stay and the unit, just has a couple of glitches.

A beautiful disaster
The location of this stay is stunning, and the endless nature views are breathtaking, but that’s about it. Our stay quickly became a disaster and created horrifying memories; it ruined our group stay. The entire apartment had a roach infestation and other insects in and out of the beds. The condo is falling apart, bathroom doors are not secure and do not close, the dryer has this weird yellow foam oozing from the door, which damaged clothing, and the master bedroom sliding door wouldn't open. Last but not least the master bedroom mattress was soak in some dark/light liquid which housekeeping knowing made the bed and stuff two beach yellow stripe towels between the fitted sheet and mattress. I was horrified and very bothered that this is the way they released this filthy apartment and ignored every inquiry to resolve this issue. Please stay away, apartment is falling apart, is filthy, and has a roach infestation. Spend your money elsewhere and save your trip.

Fantastic Views, Lots of Space
This is a very nice property with an outstanding view. The pictures and description of the property were spot-on. The only hiccup we had was not being able to initially locate the third bedroom when we first arrived (the door to the room was behind the open front door), but we laugh about that now. The sound of the ocean outside our windows was everything we hoped it would be, and made for great sleeping at night. The main deck was large enough to accommodate our group of five comfortably, and we spent time on it every day we were there. The beach in front of the facility is very nice, but a little rocky in places. We still swam from this beach most every day...very convenient. It's smaller compared to some other beaches, but that was okay with us. It never felt crowded. Parking was sufficient (spaces are a bit tight), and we never had an issue with finding a space in our building's underground lot. We were in and out of this lot at all hours of the day/evening and were always able to get a space. There is plenty of room in this unit to spread out. We had five adults in our group, and never felt crowded. The kitchen is well-equipped for making meals, and the fridge/freezer is large enough to hold plenty of food, drinks, and ice for a 10-day stay. We did have to buy more paper towels, but all other supplies (including toilet paper) were sufficient for the length of our stay. The washer/dryer were very nice to have for cleaning/drying our towels. There was no maid service, so we did our own sweeping and general clean-up, but I think this is typical for a condo rental(?). FYI, we did encounter a few roaches in our unit, which was pretty gross. We did leave snacks on the counters, which the unit instructions discouraged. Still… Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this property. The view, the space, and the deck were exactly what we were looking for.

The property is beautiful but dated. There are gas BBQ on site, full stove with coffee maker and toaster. The only couple of issues, the check in process. Called the Sullivan Property because front desk had no authorization or confirmation to release the keys. Called and Steve answered at 2:30PM told me that he will call the front counter and let them know but that our check in is at 3PM. Steve called or transferred me 3 times, not sure why but all 3 times got disconnected and call ended. Called a 4 and Steve stated he was trying to see if the house cleaned person would answer to let him know it was ready. But the he stated to call back at 3PM and that is our check in time. Came back to check in counter after 3PM and Sullivan Property was closed and the front office never responded or gave them authorization. The front office people were very friendly and helpful, she provided the keys to enter property. The room was not very well cleaned and there was sand all over the apartment, having to clean befor really enjoying the place. The balcony sliding glass door is impossible to open and the screen as well.

Great for our family
Property was great for our family of 7! Spectacular ocean view, close proximity to the beach and pools, ample beach towels/sand toys for the little ones! As mentioned, the unit does NOT have AC, so it can get pretty warm depending on when you travel. We had fans on and opened all screened windows and didn’t use the blankets, and we’re able to stay comfortable at night. Check in process was easy! Would definitely stay here again next time we’re in Maui !

Family Vacation
Loved our trip and our stay at Sands of Kahana. 6 of us in our party ranging from 79 to 14. This resort I has a nice beach out front with tons of turtles and Black Rock Beach to the South 5 minutes and Napili Beach to the North 5 minutes. There are more beaches nearby but these were our favorites. Can’t beat the view from the room either, oceanfront for sure and what beautiful sunsets!!

Wonderful Family Vacation
This is a wonderful location for a family trip and a good home base for your west Maui activities. Nice, clean and spacious for big groups. The ocean and mountain views from the unit are breathtaking. The beach is great for swimming, sunbathing and even a little snorkeling Having a restaurant and equipment rentals (kayaks, standup paddle boards)on site is very convenient. The furnishings are dated but the location, views and beach make up for it. Check in and out at the 24 hr desk was very easy. We would stay here again.
