Beautiful resort but would not get the same unit.
The unit was advertised as remodeled. The drapes have holes in them, the windows are extremely dirty, the sliding doors need repairs and shower soaks the floor because the curtain isn’t right. The bed was extremely comfortable and the staff was very friendly. The turtles were fun to see too.

Incredible stay and vacation
We had such a fantastic time in Maui! This condo was exactly what we expected based on what we read from the reviews on VRBO and the pictures show you exactly what to expect. John, the owner, is so responsive and helpful too. We couldn't have asked for more, and we will definitely stay here again. The only thing we didn't like was leaving!

Wow!
My family and I just stayed at this condo for 8 nights and were blown away. We read other reviews beforehand and I wanted to leave one as well as they were helpful. The condo is immaculate and is truly right on the beach. We really liked the location as there are plenty of amenities but we did not have to deal with the big resort hassles of extra fees for every little amenity. And the owner, John, was just amazing. He sent us a list beforehand of suggestions on things to do, was incredibly detailed in how things work, etc. We will definitely be back. One last comment - it's a good size condo as well with a nice kitchen, plenty of room, and a great master. Best deal on Maui!

Very disappointed!
In December of 2014, my fiance and I booked a stay at this condo for our wedding in April. The owner notified us that the stay was guaranteed and we went ahead and made plans with a photographer, wedding planner, and booked our airfare. Although our reservation was nonrefundable, the owner suddenly in February cancels our stay with the excuse that he had decided to renovate the week of our stay. What a mess this created for us. This should not be allowed. He refunded our money but we had to scramble to find another place in the same area. Be aware.

Incredible View, Location & A Great Condo!
We just spent 8 days in this wonderful condo right on the beach, and we definitely plan on returning! It is just as described. The view is amazing and we spent many hours on the lanai. We were able to prepare our own meals in the kitchen, the bed was comfortable, there were plenty of towels and paper products provided. There are boogie boards, snorkel gear and beach chairs & towels. The building and grounds were well maintained and staff was wonderful with every encounter. The owners were great to work with and quick to respond to inquiries and questions. This condo fulfilled every want and need we had for our trip to Maui and we couldn't be happier! If you want luxury and daily maid service, go down the road and pay triple the price, but you won't get a better space, view or value. We'll be back to rent this one again! This is definitely a piece of Maui paradise!

Royal Kahana 209
We have stayed at this property several times over the past five or six years and have always enjoyed it. It was always in great shape and well-maintained. The listing photos always reflected the rental's appearance and amenities. The owner whom we have dealt with many times has always been very cordial and helpful in answering our questions or concerns. We would (and have) recommended this condo to several friends and relatives and will continue to do so. We would recommend the Cane & Taro restaurant in Whaler's Village, as well as Kimo's in Lahaina.

Johns condo was perfect
Johns condo was exactly what we were looking for on our 5 day getaway! :) the condo was exactly as described in the past reviews! Royal Kahana was located only minutes away from Lahaina where we spent most of our vacation shopping, dining, and snorkeling in the beautiful aqua blue ocean. Nothing could beat the ocean front view we woke up to every morning! The sounds of the waves brought me out to the patio every morning just to soak in the scenery. Thank you so much for contributing to our unforgettable vacation John! You were so helpful :)
