"Though they do not speak much English, we made it work. They were very nice and accommodating, providing a hair dryer and wi-if. It’s a nice, clean, European hotel. The restaurant meal was excellent as well. They also helped obtain a taxi when I had to leave before the office opened in the morning. "

"Andre and Nicholas are amazing hosts, the room(s) - we stayed on two occasions, on our way to our friends and on the way back- are exquisitely furnished, excellent facilities, superb breakfasts and just a truly amazing place to be. Slightly off the beaten track which is a benefit in itself, so quiet and amazing stars at night. Andre booked us a table at a local restaurant and that was excellent as well. Absolutely no hesitation in saying it was one of the best overnight stays we have ever had...

"We stayed for one night while travelling to the ferry port. awe chose the Manoir because it was quiet and relaxing. The welcome was very warm and the accomodation gave us a different experience of and overnight stay. The town nearby gave many choices for an evening meal and looked like a nice place to spend a day or part of a day. Would recommend."

"Beautiful old charming mansion in a secluded area! Very friendly hosts! We stayed two nights! Great home made apple juice!"

"Rien, nous n'avons rien aimé. Lit de 140, lit sous les toits avec très peu de hauteur de plafond, on se cogne la tête pour monter et poutre juste au dessus du lit. 2 petites serviettes de toilette et non des draps de bain. Cet endroit est très mal indiqué, adresse pas suffisamment précise, nous avons tourné pendant 1/2 heure, impossible de communiquer avec le propriétaire car le réseau téléphonique est inexistant "

Cependant, nous avons rencontré quelques désagréments à notre arrivée : la vaisselle était poisseuse, les sols du rez-de-chaussée et de l'étage étaient sales, et il y avait encore de l'eau sur le sol de la salle de bain. Nous avons également dû acheter du produit vaisselle, car il n'y en avait pas, et le robinet de l'évier du salon n'avait...

"Clean comfortable bed. Nice hot shower. Elevator to 3rd floor. Very accommodating staff. However coming back at night is a little disconcerting since everything is dark. People in another room screaming so difficult to sleep. Breakfast was perfect. Location was perfect. Carpet not so clean but otherwise room was very nice. "

Castle nested in the forest of "Le Perche" region - lower Normandy

This castle in the woods is like a fairytale!

"When we booked this place we spent months excited about it and talking about how cool it would be. And then we got there and it lived up to all of our hopes and more! We stayed for a month and never got tired of the amazing view from the castle to the grounds and from the grounds to the castle. We spent hours hiking in the woods and playing kickball on the main lawn. The kitchen is huge and had everything we needed. Jerome was a dream and arranged for his wife to cook us two french meals, which we absolutely loved. The castle is pretty isolated, but we didn't mind that. And the grocery store we liked was only 15 or so minutes away. There were a lot of bugs in the castle, but they didn't bother us, and we've come to expect that when we stay in rural settings. My husband and our four kids absolutely loved it here and would HIGHLY recommend it!"

"Very helpful Staff, clean room and public areas, dog firendly, free parking adjacent to the hotel. My personal opinion is that the Dinner and Breakfast costs are too high for a 3* Hotel. The qualioty of food was excellent but as a traveller staying only for 1 night I did not need such expensive meal options. In fact I declined breakfast because of the cost"

Norman gîte with breathtaking views over the Vie valley

Lovely stay

"We had a lovely few days relaxing in the countryside. Great property, lovely open space for kids to play and gorgeous peaceful views across the valley. We did a day trip to Paris, taking the train from L’Aigle. Check in and out very easy and Nathalie an attentive and helpful host. Would recommend!"

Relaxing retreat

"We used the house as a base to go to Olympic events in Versailles and Paris. It was wonderful to come back to the quiet house and we made full use of the pool on our days off! Well equipped and comfortable, we would recommend to anyone needing to get away from the city"
