"We had a wonderful stay as a group of friends. We loved the farm feel and picking and snacking on sweet apples and walnuts. The pool was well used and host very helpful despite the language barrier. All in all a lovely stay!"

"We have had a wonderful two weeks at this property on Les Trois Chemins. Martine was most welcoming and helpful. The cottage is lovely and comfortable and the setting is delightful. We could wander around their vast garden, with the fruit trees, vegetable plots and 5 hens and cool off in the pool. The area is very rural with many picturesque villages and towns within an easy drive. The daily trip to get the bread at Saint Genies was a pleasant start to each day. "Wonderful property in the French country side of Dordogne. Philip and Muriel were delightful hosts with a complete book showing everything you would want to know about the property and surrounding area (don't miss dinner at Auberge d"Imbue only 5 minutes away!) Very well appointed with everything you will need for a party of 3 (us) to a party of 20. Very nice, large kitchen with service for at least 15. Very well constructed and finished but still keeping the wooden beams and floors of the barn....

"Le lieu est magnifique mais les infrastructures ne sont pas au niveau. Les équipement de la maison sont en mauvais état, lampes non fonctionnelles, spot de sdb cassé, rideau de douche avec moisissures, poêles teflon usées….il y a une belle piscine très sale et le liner est mort, la piscine fuit donc rechargée 24/24 donc l’eau est glaciale, les transats sont usés donc inconfortables. Nous n’avons pas testé le retaurant…. La salle de billard est dans son jus comme la table . L’endroit pourrait...

The full house is not together but in 2 different section bit detached to each other. This means that everyone cannot stay together in the same house, which was not expected by us and was not even clear in the description of the property.2. The property is in middle of nowhere. "Greeting from Karen & Richard was so nice. A lovely couple who presented the property so very well. The gardens were immaculate and brilliant for the kids and our dog. We had a fantastic relaxing week. Visiting a few beautiful chateau’s. Great location just a few miles from the motorway, in the fantastic French country side. So access to the surrounding towns and villages are easy."

"We really enjoyed our stay and Alexis is the perfect host, he’s very responsive to all communication, even when the queries were probably inane! Like other comments, the gite has a bit of a strange layout but then that gives it character. Yes it’s on a main road but you soon ignore the noise. Everything is provided, the gite was very clean and the pool is a good size. I’d definitely recommend staying here"

"We had a wonderful stay at the cottage in Chaises Basses. It’s a beautiful, old and rustic farmhouse that was lovingly restored, with many original features including a very large fireplace. "The gite is lovely and oozes character - it's a special place. The pool is fantastic and there are plenty of loungers to be in the sun or shade. The BBQ area is great, as is the outside eating area. Dawn is a fantastic host. She was there to meet us and give us a good overview of the place. Easily contactable by text and very responsive. We had a great stay and would love to go back one day!"

All in all....great.

"Overall this was very good. Friendly staff. Nice big bedroom. All very clean and tidy...although it could do with updating, especially the bathroom. The bathroom was very clean but tired...although well scrubbed. The breakfast was plentiful with fruit, cereals, pastries, meats, cheese etc We didn't eat evening meal but it looked OK, but we went to old town Brive for a look around. Overall excellent stay and especially considering the low cost."

Old farmhouse with privat pool- BADEFOLS D'ANS

"The property was gorgeous, clean and the pool was stunning. The kitchen was well equipped. We had a lovely family holiday. Just a couple of points to note. The beds were very very firm, to the point of being uncomfortable. Firm beds are not for us. The listing said hot tub. We hadn’t seen one in the pictures so guessed it was a mis-print, but to confirm there is no hot-tub despite it being listed. The WiFi did not work at all. We called the host who was very good and came straight away but could not fix it. It did not get fixed the entire week we were there. You are in the countryside in an old house so mobile data signal was patchy to non-existent within the property. This can be frustrating when planning days out (or when you have teenagers.) We had a lovely holiday and visited some gorgeous locations in the region. The property was private and clean."
