Welcome to Hi View House, a quiet desert escape in the beautiful Highlands area of Joshua Tree, sitting on five acres next to national park mountains. This stylish, comfortable house features a breathtaking panorama overlooking the West Entrance of Joshua Tree National Park and is a haven for wildlife. Yet with all that seclusion, guests will still enjoy a convenient location, just a little over three miles from either the West Entrance or the village of Joshua Tree. The shops, restaurants, grocery stores, and amenities of Yucca Valley are less than 10 miles west, and Twentynine Palms is around 18 miles east.

At home, sip your coffee with a spectacular sunrise from your backyard or screened patio and step inside to make some breakfast when you get hungry. The open concept combines the comfortable living area, dining room, and kitchen, making it ideal for gathering together. The spacious, full kitchen features stainless steel appliances, warm butcher-block countertops, and all the cabinets and space you need to whip up a feast. Grab a bite together at the table inside, or dine alfresco on the patio. Spend the day exploring the ethereal landscapes of Joshua Tree National Park, then return home to relax for the evening. Stream the latest release or use the free, high-speed WiFi to catch up on remote work at the dedicated workstation. End the day as you began, back outside on the patio, but this time admiring the clear night sky and toasting your good fortune at booking the perfect desert escape.

Awesome, beautiful, and well accommodated place just outside JTNP!
Had a great 4 nights here driving in from San Diego! The property itself is in a gorgeous location overlooking the northern portion of Joshua Tree National Park and Joshua Tree Village. Minutes from the northern entrance and the town. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals, a/c kept it cool during the warm days. Would definitely stay here again if we came back with friends!

The house is beautifully decorated, and very comfortable with everything we needed. The beds were so comfortable, great showers, felt like home. Except home doesn't have the views! Every window offers a beautiful view that I couldn't stop staring at. The pictures of the house are great but they don't do it justice.

Very well equipped and situated for the park - aside from the challenging road as already mentioned. Loved being outside with the stars and slept so well in the comfy beds. Wifi was a little patchy while we were there and the door needed a bit of work to get in and out. Other than that we loved it!

Very nice house in great location for daily excursions into Joshua Tree NP. House was very clean and well appointed including some basics like fresh ground coffee. Management fixed a minor plumbing issue during our stay. we will definitely stay again next time visiting JT.

Beautiful home, great location
We enjoyed our stay here very much. Lovely home, great location. Large yard with wildlife and beautiful views of the mountains, national park, and town of Joshua Tree. The dirt road to the home is VERY rugged and requires a high clearance all wheel drive vehicle! Follow the directions given by the rental agency- do NOT believe Google maps directions!

The perfect spot to enjoy the desert.
Such a nice location, looking out over the desert. Very quiet, lots of wildlife, including nesting cactus wrens, thrashers, and quail. We were serenaded by coyotes, and twice watched a group hunting in the area below us. The house was clean, comfortable and well appointed. We especially loved the covered outdoor spaces, which made watching wildlife comfortable and easy. We really, really liked the place.

Views of a lifetime
This house is in a great location, and the views are incredible. Though the house is on the older side, the landscaping and updates that have been done to the house all made it very beautiful and comfortable. We loved all of the windows throughout the house – gorgeous views no matter where you are. The owner was clearly thoughtful about stocking the place, particularly the kitchen – we had everything we needed, including the essentials (coffee, sugar, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and a variety of seasonings) and all the pots and pans to cook any meal. The propane grill on the back patio was a bonus! We enjoyed building a fire in the fitpit to stay warm while watching the sunrise (make sure you pick up some firewood at a nearby store like Sam's Market). Access to JTNP was as easy at it gets!

Restful retreat
Went to JT for a little quiet time. The house was comfortable, nicely decorated and well supplied. There are beautiful views from the living room, north bedroom and both outdoor patios. Even though it was winter, I saw lots of wildlife. I was watching a group of coyotes calling on the road just below I could hear two other groups at various distances calling back. A roadrunner walked past me, not 10 feet away. I saw a bobcat just down the road. It was wonderful. I like the location, well away from paved roads, very quiet. Great sunrises and sunsets. Just perfect.

Quiet and well-appointed in a great location
This property fulfilled all our needs. The main thing you want in the desert is air conditioning, and the ones here kept us comfortable. Privacy, comfy beds, well-equipped kitchen, views, night-sky, location are all very good. As someone else has already mentioned, the access road is sandy, hilly and rutty and also not well-lit. That only mattered to us because we arrived well after dark. I was happy we drove a 4WD truck, but we saw normal cars on driving in the neighborhood.

Great location close to Joshua Tree National Park
This is perhaps the best equipped short rental we have ever had. Things like a blender and yoga mats were included. The kitchen, which appeared to be newly remodeled, had all things you would need to do some serious cooking, and the entire house was spotlessly clean. The house photographs a bit better than it actually is...it is a bit rough around the edges, but that is also Joshua Tree's "style". Great in every other way. Check in and out were easy, easy, easy. You also should be aware that the house is on a rather long, fairly rutted dirt road. SUV recommended.

Nice Kitchen and HVAC systems
Vacasa property management was tough to get a hold of and tough to get information out of regarding the property. I asked a few simple questions while trying to prepare for our trip and they were not able to answer them. This was very frustrating. Their staff gave me inconsistent answers and I consistent information about how they plan communicate with me (email, VRBO app, text message). I wish the property was managed by the actual owner, as he/she would probably be able to provide a higher level of customer service. The property itself was great, the kitchen was recently remodeled, it was clean (some dust bunnies and some trash on the patio), each room has its own new HVAC unit. Only compliant about the house (besides it’s property manager) was the abandoned roof top HVAC unit ducting made loud banging noises from the being blown around by the wind. It was loud enough to wake us during the night. Overall, great location tucked up against the mountain, and extremely close to Joshua Tree West Park Entrance. The road was fairly washed out during recent rain storms so a vehicle with some ground clearance is recommended to get to the house.
