The gal at the front desk was great; very friendly and helpful! The pool area was nice to sit in and unwind from a long drive. All other aspects of our stay weren't so great - but we got what we paid for as we arrived late and needed to leave early in the morning. Allergies were running rampant in our room, the doors closed so loudly and our shower curtain seemed to have some dried blood on it....ick. There are plenty of other places to stay in Joplin.

The staff was super friendly and wonderful. The room wasn't what we were expecting from pictures online. There was toothpaste splatter all over the frame of the mirror, the chair was torn up, the wall had scratches/paint missing, and the bathroom had dead bugs in the corner of the shower. The walls were very thin and I could hear the person next door snoring, as well as people up in the morning leaving. When we walked into our room, which wasn't until early morning hours, it smelled like pinesol, like someone had just cleaned it as my shoes were sticking to the floor.

Great clean room although rest of property is a little dreary and looks a little run down. Staff was very kind and friendly but the person that checked me in said it was her first night alone and it was pretty obvious. However the stay was very pleasant and quiet.

I book my stays based on breakfast being included so we don't have to hunt for a restaurant and being able to get a first floor room as I am disabled. breakfast was semi-dry scrambled eggs and spicy sausage. At least the coffee was very good.

Needed a place to stay last minute and cheap. Econolodge fit the bill. Was after midnight, but no trouble checking in so late. Beds comfy. Only con was that the “breakfast” was lackluster, but when you’re paying half the price…

This is obviously an older property that needs to be updated, but it served our purposes very well! All staff members we encountered were friendly and helpful. Looking forward to another stay here in the future!
