Escape to our modern lakefront home in Griswold, CT. Our home is on an oversized lot giving you plenty of privacy and space to enjoy the waterfront. Enjoy the beautiful views (the sunsets are particularly spectacular) from multiple outdoor seating areas, the dock, or the 2 firepits. There is also a balcony off of the large king size bedroom. This home rental includes the use of the kayak at no charge.

The house is direct waterfront on Ashland Lake, a ponded section of the Pachaug River in Griswold, CT. You can fish, swim, kayak, canoe, and more in the extremely picturesque waters right off the grassy backyard of our cottage home. Use our kayak or bring your own if you prefer - you can boat right from our personal dock in the backyard.

Although you will want to spend as much time as possible enjoying the water and the views we have gone the extra mile to make all aspects of our waterfront house feel like home.

Inside you will find a game room that is perfect for all ages and a home theater room with a large projector screen. The game room also includes a new bunk bed and a Pac-Man arcade game. The main floor of the lake house includes the living room with a tv and plenty of seating, fully stocked kitchen, full bathroom, a queen sized bedroom, and a king size bedroom which has it's own sitting area, desk, and balcony that overlooks the water. Pets are also welcome with a paid pet fee. 

Important: Sheets and towels ARE included with your stay. They are washed before and after every guest, feel free to use the laundry room during your stay as needed as well. We also provide a starter pack of paper towels, toilet paper, toiletries, cleaning products, soaps, detergent, sponges, k cups, nespresso pods, and tea!

Buttonwood Farm - known for their ice cream and sunflower fields ~ 10 minutes
Pachaug State Forest - The largest in the Connecticut state forest system ~ 12 minutes

Quiet getaway with beautiful water view
Loved the view of the pond from the various outdoor seating areas. The small dock was great for the best view and was fun to see the turtles. So peaceful, reminded us of a bird sanctuary. Michael and Ashleigh were very responsive to any inquiry we made. Kitchen nice size and well equipped for our stay. Especially enjoyed using one of the two fire pits for a relaxing evening under the stars. Thanks so much!

A decent little house, lots of space and a really nice sized yard on the water. Beautiful view. The owner was very responsive to my concerns when I reached out to her about the cleanliness on our arrival. Our stay was ok- I’m sure it’s great in the summer with kids - the yard looks wonderful.

The sunset over the lake is fantastic and the leaves were all changing. There is a lot of room in the house and it is in great shape and clean. Would recommend for a getaway. It is a long ways from a major city but shopping is not that far away. Very peaceful location

This was a great stay. House was clean and cozy, backyard and the lake view were amazing. Went fishing and used the kayaks in the lake - overall a great stay. We had no complaints and would definitely stay again. House was clean, neighborhood was quiet, but it is just a few minutes off the highway - kind of a hidden gem if you want to stay in the Mystic area.

Our family enjoyed this lakefront getaway. This property provided space to spend time together and space to have quiet time. Nice Place for a Getaway
Our family of 2 teens and mother and father stayed in the house with plenty of room. Each kid had their own space and the place was clean and well decorated for the Christmas season which was a nice bonus. The only drawback was the beds were very uncomfortable .

We had a great stay in Griswold, close to Mystic and only about 15 min from Foxwoods. House was very clean and the fenced in area of the yard was wonderful, our dog absolutely loved it. The sunsets over the lake were amazing!!

It was perfect! The house was clean and neat. Everything we needed to be comfortable was supplied, and the kitchen was perfectly stocked with dishes and cookware. The location is awesome!
