Historic Jefferson French Townhouse

Welcome to the beautiful Jefferson French Townhouse. Located in the downtown historic district, the townhouse was built in 1860 by one of the co-founders of Jefferson, Daniel Alley. The windows and front doors of the home are original and were imported from France during the New Orleans trade era; the home also features original cypress floors and 14 foot ceilings. The Townhouse is a Texas Historical Marker and in the National Registry of Historic Places.

The bright and airy home has an updated open living room and kitchen with modern updated bathrooms. There are two large bedrooms with king beds, and one with a large en suite master bath providing enough privacy for multiple families to stay in the home. The sitting room has a queen pull out sofa bed as well. All rentable space of the home is on the GROUND FLOOR. There is an upstairs to the home but it is closed off to guests and used for storage only.

Enjoyed our stay in this 165 year old home. We were on a girls trip and enjoyed spending time in Jefferson. The property was close to everything. Definitely plan to stay again in the future.

This Townhouse is fantastic, it was very old & very charming. Communication with the owners was very good before & after. The house was clean & well stocked. We loved the location & proximity to downtown, as well as the Grocery store etc. We would certainly stay here again. Always Amazing Experience!
We have stayed at the Jefferson French Townhouse multiple times and it never disappoints! Like taking a trip back in time with the beautiful wooden floors (original?) to the super high ceilings we love staying here. The house is close to town and an easy bike ride away from lots of shops. We will definitely visit again!

Anniversary Trip
We enjoyed our stay in your beautiful historical home. It was a unique experience for us. The location was very convenient to the downtown stores, restaurants and activities in Jefferson. We rented a golf cart and rode all around town which made parking a breeze and the weather was very nice during our visit. Thanks for sharing your home!

Wonderful Stay
We had an amazing time at this home for spring break with our two children (7 and 3). The home itself is so beautiful. It’s a historical home, so it had its old home quirks, but we loved it. The backyard and driveway were perfect for our kids to ride bikes and play. We love Jefferson, there is so many things to do and see nearby. We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely home, great town.
Jefferson is a lovely town and a great way to have a relaxing get-away with friends or family. The hime is very nice and right near downtown. We ate at McGarity’s and it was very good. Beautiful old historic homes to see also. I would go back and stay here again. Thanks
