4th of July getaway
We booked this trip back in January for 4th of July and had such a fun time. There was plenty of room for the 5 adults and 3 kids that went. The playground was perfect for the little ones when we were not out exploring the Adirondacks. We would definitely stay again if we went back to the area! Had a wonderful time from start to finish!

Treehouse was PERFECT for our family get together!
When we drove up to the property my husband was very impressed by the rustic log home and beautiful grounds that greeted us. The host’s Tree/Skihouse had everything we needed for a family gathering of 4 adults and 4 kiddos. There were plenty of beds, bedding, and sleeping areas for all. The game room, actually a separate building, was a big hit with air hockey and ping-pong tournaments happening on the rainy days when we couldn’t get out Into the woods and explore. On the sunny days the kids played “fairies and wizards” for hours in the backyard treehouse playground and spacious yard. The fire pit was used for s’mores nearly every night, even when we had to use umbrellas, so thoughtful of the host, when a rain shower passed through! We found lots of places in nearby Wilmington with reasonably priced camp wood for sale. We also spent time at the nearby Wilmington swim beach where the kids had a blast in the water and on the sand. Not many places I know with a beach in the forest and mountains. The nearby Flume Falls were spectacular and free to access, unlike High Gorge Falls. My only suggestion would be to stock up on groceries and necessities before arriving. We really enjoyed this bit of paradise deep in the woods of the Adirondacks. Thank you for a memorable stay.

Eclipse trip
We stayed here to watch the total solar eclipse. It was the perfect spot! We kept entertained during the day between the game room and hot tub and all sat out on the back deck to watch the sky. We took a day trip into Lake Placid one day. (Note: there are only 3 bedrooms with doors. I thought both bunks were in private rooms but one was in the open downstairs space. Not a big issue with teens, but good to know for future). Only real disappointment was that the sauna didn’t work while we were there.

Start of summer trip
The house was amazing. We were disappointed that hot tub was not working but game room was a nice surprise and the kids and adults loved it. The mattresses are amazing. We loved the rustic look of the house. There are so many wonderful details in the decorations and furnishings. The neighborhood was quiet and felt like an escape. It was centrally located to many activities. We highly recommended this house. Thank you for having this wonderful house to rent.

Perfect family getaway
Excellent place to stay for our family trip. The house was equipped with everything we needed and was able to accommodate our large party really well. We were close to many trails to go snow shoeing. 15 minutes away from Whiteface for skiing, and 30 minutes away from Lake Placid for shopping and ice skating. The hot tub and sauna were the perfect way to relax after each of our days outdoors. We would absolutely stay here again.

Great Property
Property is great with a hot tub and newly installed sauna. Once off the main road it takes 8 minutes to get to the house. 15 minutes from White Face and 30-40 minutes to Lake Placid. Road back from Lake Placid can get a little dicey at night. I would love to visit this property in summer. They have kayaks and canoes available for you to use. Highly recommend.

Relaxing
The house was as described. The only negative thing I could possibly say is that it could have been a bit cleaner. The beds were comfortable, sitting outside on the deck was relaxing, and there was so much to do close by. Overall I would stay here again.

Perfect location
We loved this location and property! There is a ton to do within 15-30 minutes. A favorite that we found was Flume falls (the parking lot on the left if coming from “home” in the cabin). The adults relaxed with coolers on the rocks in the river and the kids (and adults!) enjoyed some epic cliff-jumping. We climbed Giant and Whiteface mountains. We visited the Olympic sites in Lake Placid. Lake Eaton is very nice and we enjoyed a sunset there and watched a beaver swim all around! We kayaked there too and the kids liked the playground. The only thing I’d mention as a consideration is that if you use the pull-outs for sleep (with a bigger group) there’s not a great indoor area to comfortably hang out. This would be especially important in bad/cold weather when you can’t enjoy the huge outdoor deck. Oh- and we also enjoyed the hot tub and the swing set and play fort were in great condition! The outdoor furniture is all very nice. We would love to come back to Jay and would consider staying in this same house. The owners were also very helpful and responsive throughout.

Perfect cozy home base!
So many wonderful things to say about this property! First, if I could give more than five stars for “communication with property manager”, I would—Mancy and Srinivas answered questions before and during our stay almost immediately, each time. The home was perfect for our two families of four: parents each got their own rooms and the kids loved the bunk beds. I have also never stayed in a rental with mattresses nearly as comfortable as those at this home—they seemed to be medium-firm foam mattresses all around. A huge plus after days of skiing! The hot tub was wonderful for relaxing after each day and for star watching on clear nights too. And, the big screen TV with streaming made for a great family movie night our last night too. The location was perfect for the skiing we planned, and even on the one somewhat rainy day of our trip we did a local walk/hike with the kids to and around a nearby lake to a playground. I’m already dreaming of future stays! Thank you!

Great ski house!
The house itself is great and exceeded expectations! Great space to lounge after a long day of skiing at Whiteface (which was so close). The property owners where great. We went during a large snowstorm and they checked in with us and made sure the driveway and walkways stayed clear of snow. Would highly recommend to any families or groups of friends looking for a winter get away.

Winter Getaway
Enjoyed our time overall. Could have been a lot cleaner. We had to clean quite a bit when we arrived. It had not been cleaned very well or at all before our arrival. The baseboard radiators were old and falling apart and seemed a little dangerous if you had small children, they should be replaced. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and we enjoyed having a fire in the firepit. We had a snow storm and someone plowed in a timely manner and they did provide salt which was good. The kids loved the Adirondack bunk beds. There was a nice large spacious dining table which was perfect for our group since we had all of our meals at the house. Plenty of cookware but lacking in glasses. The deck was nice and large and would be great in warmer months. The indoor woodstove made it very cozy on the sub zero nights. Would recommend.

Large home, perfect vacation for families
We had a great time at the tree house! There was 6 of us total (4 adults, 2 children). We had plenty of space. The pictures don’t do justice in how spacious this place actually was. It was nestled in the woods and was serene. We loved the hot tub in the snow and nothing else around. The seclusion of the property is good for those wanting to get away, but did pose challenges at times as many places to eat, grocery stores, cell phone service was a bit of a drive. It was still great in our opinion. The host was kind and quick to respond to any questions. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in the area and get away from it all
