Spacious Adirondack Chalet located on a one-acre wooded lot in The Woodlands (AuSable Acres), Jay. It is 2.6 miles off the Ironman Bike Course, 15 minutes to Whiteface Mountain, 25 minutes to Lake Placid, AuSable Chasm & Lake Champlain and minutes to the Adirondack High Peaks. The Chalet has 4 Bedrooms, 2 full baths and sleeps 10 comfortably.

The Chalet has a balcony off the master bedroom as well as a screened in porch and outside decks. There is also a fireplace outside with plenty of free firewood! There is a beautiful woodstove inside to combat chilly nights.

Chalet is a 5-minute walk to miles of secluded hiking trails and Lake Eaton, a small pond for fishing, kayaking, canoeing & ice skating in the winter.

We loved staying here. We come to the area every MLK weekend and this is a great cabin to stay at. It was perfect for our 2 families and we loved that we could bring our dog. It has everything we needed and was very clean and cozy.

Great wilderness get-away

What a great place!

Great stay in the Adirondacks!
This property was perfect for us as we spent some time at Ausable Chasm and in Lake Placid. It is nestled between the 2 with about a 30 minute commute to either place. The outdoor deck and fire pit were great and the owner left plenty of wood for us to use. The place was clean upon arrival and had comfortable sleeping arrangements for 10. Definitely off the beaten path a little - a great Adirondack experience!

Warm up in front of the fire
We had a great stay at this property. We came to the mountains for 5 days to hike trails with our pups and we loved coming back and having a fire to warm up in front of. The cabin has everything you need to be comfortable and feel like you are at home.

Long Weekend Getaway to the Adirondacks
We had a wonderful weekend getaway to this lovely property. The house was great and we were impressed with the attention to detail in the decor - so fitting for the area. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our grandsons loved playing outside in the spacious yard plus they had fun at the nearby conservation area. We would highly recommend this home and the area.

The Sweetest Stay
House has everything ... including seasoned wood to burn outside on a patio! Comfy beds, convenient parking and gas grill! Our host was very generous.

Family vacation
We stayed here as a Christmas gift and traveled with grandparents, aunts, nieces and spouses. What a wonderful trip! Location was wonderful, we were able to go sightseeing and still have the “cabin in the woods feel” without being to far out. The decks, the dining room table were all used to an abundance for card games and chatting!

We loved our Christmas stay at Cathy Snow’s charming Adirondack chalet. Everything was so comforting and peaceful. Thank you for reminding me of my past Christmas with a stay in Ausable Acres. Absolutely amazing!
The house was perfect for our trip to the mountains! Cathy thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and cozy. Everything was very clean, house was setup with an easy-to-follow flow, lots of firewood on hand, and was overall a great place to stay! We brought a large group of people to the ADK with ROCovery Fitness, an organization that brings people together through adventure and sober living. The house fit our needs perfectly for the group and had an amazing time!

Adirondack getaway
We were very pleased with our stay at this property. Cathy, the host, was kind, responsive, and accommodating both prior to check-in and while we were there. The house was rustic and charming, with ample space for the three of us to spread out. The home would have easily been comfortable for a family of 4-6; we only used 2 of the 4 bedrooms. We loved that the location was a bit off the beaten path (providing solitude), while still in relative proximity to Wilmington (for the Whiteface Uphill Bike Race), Lake Placid, and Lake Champlain.

Fabulous time!
We had a fabulous time! The house was very clean with every amenity that we needed. We loved the upstairs bathroom, the towels, candles, fire pit and all the places we found around the house to hang out. Our dog especially loved exploring the large yard that surrounds the house. Cathy was very easy to get a hold of and a wonderful host. Thank you for a fabulous week.
