Paul and Benedicte would like to welcome you to Chateau Vary in the heart of the Loire Valley. Chateau Vary first took guests in 1986 in the chateau and cottages. In 1999 the stables were refurbished and 2019 will see the complete refurbishment of the chateau. Chateau Vary has been in the Sauve family for 5 generations and in 2019 Benedicte becomes the latest family member to take over Chateau Vary. Chateau Vary is set in its own grounds of 15 acres, which is a mixture of garden, lawns, forest and farmland. It provides a unique setting for a stay in the Loire Valley. It has an outdoor pool and a heated indoor pool, access for forest walks, local shops and larger towns nearby, wine tasting route, and bicycle hire in close proximity.
This is an area of the Loire that offers fantastic scenery, rivers and forest ideal for a relaxing holiday. It has numerous visits to wine caves, chateaux, churches, picturesque villages all within a short distance of your holiday location. There are the large towns of Angers, Nantes, Saumur and Tours close by which are more than worth a visit as well as the renowned theme park Puy de Fou which is an hour away. While staying here it is possible to visit Paris which is an hour by train from Le Mans.
It is rare to find the beauty of buildings and landscape to equal Chateau Vary. Over two hundred years this has matured into a breathtaking location which is now a blend of the old and new.

With a professional restaurant local products are carefully crafted to provide cuisine of the highest standard. Everything that we cook with is fresh, locally grown in the market garden capital of France accompanied by meat that is all locally reared and includes chicken, venison beef and pork on the menu.
