We had a wonderful time in Curacao, the Villa was beautiful, short walk to beach, and grocery store. Joe answered all my questions very quickly, Jill our host was amazing, gave us ideas where to go and text back in minutes when we had questions, perfect week.

Great space, private pool
The home had plenty of room for our group of 7. Two kitchen spaces, large dining areas, beautifully landscaped. Overall, it was a perfect layout for large groups to enjoy. Be cautious when using air conditioning units as it is easy to add on expenses. Did have some problems with a few of the ac’s, but the maintenance team was able to fix one early in the stay. I would recommend this rental to family’s or larger groups with various levels of adventure.

Absolutely perfect location
The property really was great. The proximity to the beach and the wonderful pool were great. I would stay here again, and I will also give 2 opportunities for improvement. 1. The top drawer of the downstairs dishwasher does not operate correctly, fixing this will help future visitors. 2. The check in process could be improved. When we called from the road to say we were on the highway, we were asked how far away we were. We have never been to the island before, we were not using GPS, we had no idea how far away we were. Secondly, as we checked in, we were tired, hungry and very hot, we were told we could open the doors/windows to cool down the house, but were warned that the mosquitos were REALLY bad and were making people sick. So hearing this in the first 10 minutes of getting to the house, we thought, great, we will either be hot or bitten up by mosquitos and sick. We found that the mosquitos were not a problem at all after we had been there a few days.

A great place to stay
Just returned from a 2 week stay at Villa Vista. We highly recommend this spacious, well-appointed villa. It offers many different spaces perfect for the different times of day. Our favorite was the upper deck where we enjoyed spectacular sunsets every evening while sipping on champagne. With 4 ensuite bedrooms, everyone has their own privacy when needed. The pool is a good size and a comfortable temperature with ample sitting /lounging options. The whole place was clean and well-kept. Our host Joe was responsive to enquiries and easy to deal with. One of the best aspects of the rental is the wonderful management team. They were extremely helpful and patient with our questions and requests. They were prompt and efficient with both check-in and check out. This villa is ideally located a quick walk to a supermarket, car rental places, bars, restaurants, hiking spots and a great beach in Jan Thiel. The beach has good amenities and good snorkelling.The area seemed very safe and was quiet. It is important for anyone coming to the area of Jan Thiel to have a vehicle. It is a great area, but a longish drive into Willemstad and far from most of the island's other sites. Overall, it was a wonderful choice and we would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

Excellent communication and responsiveness by owner and manager throughout the process. The house was as advertised -- vey nice, clean, conveniently located to Jan Thiel Beach and its restaurants and market. And all at a reasonable price. The one thing I would note, though, and this has been raised in other reviews, is that while there are individual air conditioners in each bedroom, even in January, the living areas could be quite hot and muggy, with little help from the ceiling fans. This setup may be typical for high-end rental homes in Curacao, but, especially as the electricity use monitored and (over a certain level) charged to renters, I would really urge the owner to pop air conditioners into the main living spaces and let people choose how much power they are willing to pay for. Otherwise, all was excellent.

Stayed there with friends/family . Property was exactly as described and pictured. Staff was extremely helpful and very responsive. They did update the bathrooms floor was just a little slippery when wet. Stores and beach as described. Definitely will make it back there. I was a little afraid from other reviews about animals around the property but that was not the issue at all.

Everything about our stay here was fabulous! The house was great, location is fantastic and the management team was very professional and responsive! Only one recommendation would be a device in the pool so any wild animals that might fall in don’t drown. I saved a couple! You do need to buy everything you’ll need for bar soap to laundry soap but the grocery store nearby makes that easy. We will be back for sure and will seek out this property once again!

Fantastic rental for a girlfriend getaway
This VRBO was excellent! It was just the right fit for a girls getaway trip. The amenities were top notch. Pool was refreshing and relaxing. Loved that each room had a private full bathroom. So close to the beach. Great location that is close to a cute market and restaurants. Would definitely rent this place again.

Terrific choice in Curacao
This house was a perfect choice for our family of four while staying in Curacao. An easy, 5 min walk to the beach, grocery store, and restaurants, the location can’t be beat in Jan Thiel. The property is beautiful (the pictures don’t do it justice) and has extremely high security (house alarm, locked exterior gate, and neighborhood security that drives around 24 hours/day). The house is spacious and offers three outdoor living areas and two hammocks. The beds are comfortable, the kitchens are well equipped, and it’s very clean. The AC cools the bedrooms quickly. The owners and management company were responsive, kind, and very welcoming. I highly recommend this rental for your stay in Curacao!

We stayed at the property for 10 days. The home is large and great spot close to Jan Theil beach area.(5 min walk) pool area is nice, no heat in pool so its a bit chilly. Overall great location to spend for a week or longer.

Overall, great house, wonderful lay out, and fantastic location. The only concern is that they charge for added electric to run air conditioners in the bedrooms, but there are not screens on any of the doors or windows (nor fans in the bedrooms), making leaving the house open at night to use the cool winds difficult due to insect bite risk (during the day, was enough breeze could leave the house open).

A Wonderful Family Accommodation!
We are a family of six and found this property to be highly functional and comfortable. It is perfectly situated within easy walking distance to the beach, a host restaurants and eateries nestled along the beachfront, and a Dutch grocery with fresh food and baked goods. The property was a great place to kick our feet up, enjoy the sun, the ocean breeze, and completely decompress under beautiful sunsets. Very clean and safe! The only challenge we had was being able to interpret the details associated with our stay when it comes to utility usage and check-in voicemail as they were in Dutch. The local property manager was very friendly and responsive. We look to rebook again in the future and therefore highly recommend this property when looking to experience Curacao!

Ideal for a family
The property is new, clean and in a safe neighbourhood. We could walk to the very nice grocery store, bars and restaurants at the Papagayo beach, and we had close proximity to the marina. We cooked dinner most nights including using the gas grill. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed to make meals for our group of seven. We also shopped at the floating market to buy fresh caught fish to prepare on the grill. We were unable to hire a car from the airport (lack of availability), but no problem as the villa owners had a truck available on property we could hire and they put us in touch with a terrific airport taxi service. Coming from America, we were also required to have a covid test on day 3 - again the villa owners came through with information on the place to go which we could walk to (and we had to book this in advance so we never would have known the option otherwise). A main reason for our trip was to enjoy the diving and the villa owners put us in touch with a dive shop just around the corner (Scuba Do) which we highly recommend. After diving, there was plenty of outside space at the villa to dry our gear. The bedrooms had air condition which was comfortable for us to use to sleep at night. Even in late November it was very hot on the island. We spent most of our time on the patios outside where it was cooler in the evenings. Lastly, the property manager was extremely responsive through WhatsApp and they are located a short walk from the property.

My group of 8 adults stayed here and loved it. Highlights: - Super easy check in process - Very clean and well equipped - Lots of space - Secure - Beautiful pool - Great location, few mins walk from the supermarket and jan thiel beach - Property manager responds instantly and resolves any issues we had Improvement areas: - As per the listing, no AC in living areas - TVs could be bigger - Flyscreens on the doors / windows so they can be opened without mosquitoes coming in All in all, amazing place to stay and would gladly stay again. Gorgeous house in perfect location
Owners were very easy to work with and very responsive throughout the whole process. The house manager took care of everything we needed while we were there and responded very quickly to WhatsApp. We loved the house. Everything was very clean and just as pictured on the website. House was safe and secure. Truck rental worked well. Fabulous taxi service from the airport Dushi taxi. Short walk to grocery store the beach, shops, safe neighborhood. Beautiful sunsets from upper porch. We only wished we could have stayed longer but the coronavirus pandemic stood in our way. Would love to go back some day!

A Wonderful Month!
We really enjoyed our stay at your home. It suited us perfectly. During the time that we were there, we used all four bedrooms for when our adult children visited and at other times it was just the 3 of us. We ate at home most evenings and the kitchen had everything we wanted. Having a washing machine on site was a real plus. The wifi was robust for those of us who had to stay in touch with home and work which was really great. We would recommend this house to anyone who wants a bit of space both indoor and out. Peaceful and relaxed vacation!
We loved our stay at Jan Thiel and Villa Vista. The pool was so delightful and there was plenty of privacy in what is becoming a very busy neighborhood! We enjoyed walking to Papagayo Beach and watching the sunset each night on the porch. ‘Iggy’ the Iguana, a resident at VillaVista was so interesting to watch each day as he sunned himself by the pool and the beautiful NewWorldOriole birds flew in for breakfast each morning. Definitly felt like we were in a tropical paradise. Our 5th time to Curaçao and we will be back!

Beyond my exceptions.
This was our first time to rent a home in a foreign country and I am so glad I did. The house is very well taken care of. The house is a real quick walk to the grocery store and the beach. Jan Thiel beach is very beautiful. We went swimming and snorkeling very often there. We saw a lot of fish while snorkeling. The waters are clear, calm, and beautiful. I highly recommend renting a car because you will want to see the island as much as possible. You will need to rent a car with GPS. I was also very happy to see a couple iguanas come by the pool (never in the pool). My overall experience in Curacao was fantastic. It felt very safe.
