Check-in took 20 minutes as the computer system was 'down' in reception. Have stayed before, usually happy enough as a solo traveler with 'realistic expectations'. This time however all night was an incessant hooting and shrieking of water in the pipes, anytime people in the rooms around me used water was this 10 second loud water pipe noise. All night my sleep was disrupted. Also be aware budget rooms do not have a refrigerator.
the room was dirty and smell terrible.Travelling with 3years old toddler.,we expected.at least the room was clean with the prices we got.not mention with the.electrity black out
Hotel is hard to find at night for the first time, as the hotel sign isn't very big with the other buildings close up together. Good value hotel for the price you pay. Has English movies on TV which a fantastic bonus as some hotels don't provide it.
Desk staff were excellent- efficient and polite when dealing with a minor check-in issue. Room was quite sufficient for my needs (solo traveler). I wish they could put a refrigerator in the room though. Location is very good for shopping and night life, and this hotel for the price, represents good value for money.
Great safe and clean place in a dirty chaotic city
We spend 5 nights in Jakarta, and staying at HAMB meant having a true save haven. Thus, after a day in the smelling dirty Streets of Jakarta we could go home to a clean room and the fine service of the hotel. The breakfeast is fair, but typically Asian. Laundry service was surprisingly expensive. Location is unfortunately lacking, but ask the reception to get you a taxi and you'll get around for no money. WiFi works perfectly.
Room suited my requirements- a clean, comfortable and secure place to sleep overnight. Right in the heart of Mangga Besar area, it is located in a busy, exciting part of Jakarta. Desk staff had enough English to deal quickly and efficiently with my check-in and check-out. Just remember it is a no-frills hotel, but for the $$$ should suit people looking for somewhere convenient to sleep.
Likes: Friendly staff, easy access to local delicacy and convenient stores.
Dislikes: Poor wifi reception in certain rooms, close proximity to main road which is very noisy.

The restaurant space is not enough, morning during breakfast time was crowded, not only the food is not enough, even the spoon also not enough and have to wait for the food and spoon. This is the only hotel I have encountered such inconvenience during my life. I would like to rate it as the poorest services of the hotel.

Nice hotel in an interesting part of town, close to the old quarter and museums. Not disturbed by road noise. The room was smaller than expected but had a nice big bed, TV and good bathroom. Ideal for a couple of nights.
Breakfast was good, plenty of choice and good quality.
Staff were helpful and spoke good English.
Overall an enjoyable experience
Accomodation was very good for the price. I would have liked more information about things to do in the area, though I loved just exploring and observing the life of that part of the city.
Great experience, with the friendly and supportive staff, everything worked well with the basic need of a 3 star hotel. Close everything and among all the foods and main streets of jakarta. Very well reasonably priced.
