The views will blow you away. This sprawling property is amazing both inside and out. Outside, you'll find a dining patio with a BBQ. Kick back to watch the sun set into the water or large ships cruise right pass you!

The property is on Little Marsh Island, which is one of the islands that connects Jacksonville and Amelia Island and runs along the St. Johns River. The islands have been referred to as "The North Florida Keys" and "Jacksonville's Best Kept Secret"
- Located 1 mile from Palm's Fish Camp +boat ramp
- 4 miles away from Ferry crossing (Ferry takes passengers and automobiles from Heckscher Drive to Mayport Village and the Beaches) -Close to several State and City Parks (Talbot Island State Parks, Fort George Island State Park, Kingsley Park, Hanna Park, Hugenot Park)
- 18 miles to the Omni Amelia Island Resort
- 17 miles to downtown Jacksonville and the TIAA Bank Field (NFL)
- 17 miles to the St Johns Town Center (Jacksonville’s upscale open air mall)
- 20 miles via the ferry to Sawgrass (PGA)
-15 mins to Publix and shopping centers
-15 mins to restaurants with an exception of 3 that are very nearby.
-Attention fisherman: You can’t get any closer to the ocean! There are lots of tournaments and you are minutes away from the Atlantic Ocean. (Boat lift is
not for guest use) House is located on a main shipping channel which makes the tides go up and down by 6-9 feet which means you cannot tie up a boat to the dock. If you are bringing a boat we recommend putting in/put at local ramp and just enjoying the dock for sitting on, hanging out, fishing etc.. please mention if you are bringing a boat when booking so we can go over everything.

House is full of information on all parks+resturants+things to do!

There is a non refundable $400 pet fee.
Outdoor fire pit and fireplace are not available for guest use. They do not work.

QUIET HOURS: ALL DAY. There is never a time that music can be turned up, people yelling/celebrating. Our neighbors are very close by and respecting them is our number one priority. If rules are broken/ neighbors report, guests will be asked to leave immediately, and your payment will be forfeited. This is absolutely not the place for any social gatherings. This property is located in a very quiet neighborhood with neighbors close by.

Surveillance cameras are present around the entire exterior of the property located at all corners, pointing to the outside of the entire home including the dock and pool deck area for safety purposes.

Amazing home!
The home was immaculate, the sleeping rooms very nicely furnished and comfortable, the game room was an added plus! You can’t beat the location on the River. Kids were fishing off the dock in their pajamas at sunrise. The pool and hot tub added hours of fun and relaxation.

Best host ever!
Our family has been renting homes all over the country for every occasion, business and pleasure. For the last decade we have rented homes instead of staying in hotels. This is one of the best homes we've stayed in and the host is by far the best host ever! From the welcome goodies to the entire home, they are the best. This property was the perfect family house! The host was so responsive and helpful with recommendations on things to do. I also loved that the property had everything you would need for your stay including sunblock, detergent, dish sponge, paper towels, etc. But our absolute favorite part was watching the dolphins and boats everyday off the dock. The view was incredible!!! We would definitely stay again!

We had an adult family reunion at The Island Estate and had an amazing time! Agree with many other reviews that the pictures do not fully capture how beautiful, spacious, clean, and well-equipped this home is for a visit. Maghen coordinated everything wonderfully, including all the information needed for a safe and comfortable stay as well as stocking us with snacks! We highly recommend The Island Estate and look forward to returning soon!

AMAZING!!!!
This serene beauty and gem was exactly what we needed!! The house was immaculate and spacious. The outside was very well kept. I don't what this place didn't have. Because I'm a chef, we brought things from our house we didn't need. This place was stocked and has everything you'll to have a great stay. We all absolutely love the accommodation and amenities! Thanks to the wonderful host for sharing your home and making the process efficient. Overall, the best air BNB we've ever stayed in hands down!!!

Amazing spot for a Fantastic Family Reunion
Meghan’s place is like a private 5 star resort! Everything is new and sparking clean! Meghan is extremely attentive and available for any questions that may arise. Everything you need to have a fun vacation is on the property. The screened in pool area was where we spent most of our time as we were traveling with a 10 month old. We will definitely be back!

Best rental we have ever stayed at
We rent a lot on VRBO and this rental by far was the best we have ever had. The owner supplies EVERYTHING you need to actually be able to arrive and enjoy vacation. We went to grocery store on arrival and never had to worry about anything else. Upon arrival there was a personal note, special treat for us and endless goodies provided. Everything you need for fishing, pool time, beach etc was included. We loved our stay and next time we are back we will definitely be staying here.

What a magnificent home!
The pictures, as good as they are, don't do this property justice! It was beautiful, spacious, spotlessly clean, with lots of thoughtful snacks for us! Maghen could not have been more helpful or communicative! You owe it to yourself to stay in this glorious home. This is a fantastic five star accommodation. Relaxing Get-A-Way
We were in town for a major car show ( The Amelia). Convenient location for the show. Beautiful home with plenty of activity on the river to entertain your family. Cruise ships, tankers, Coast Guard, Navy ships, military planes and much more. Maghen is a gracious host. We are thankful that she opens up her amazing home to my friends and family. The house is beautiful and meticulously maintained. We are big travelers and rent at many locations. Meghan stocks the house with everything you need. Give this home serious consideration when you're in the Jacksonville area!

Amazing house, best pool!
When we were looking for a vacation rental, we wanted to find a place that had a lot of amenities in case the weather didn’t cooperate. This house fit that in spades. The weather, though, was amazing and yet we loved just hanging out by the pool and spa the best. House was spotlessly clean and beds were so comfy. Great communication with host as well. There was a nice beach 10 min away and Amelia Island was also very close. And the location was quiet and low key. We had such a relaxing trip!

This home will exceed all your expectations, and so will its owner!
This was our second time staying at this home, and it was even better than the first! Maghen goes out of her way to make sure you have a superior experience. There are instructions for everything, snacks of every stripe, and even a spectacular cheese and fresh fruit board when we arrived. The house is freshly renovated, spotlessly clean, and wonderful! Maghen contacted us during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. You just can't do any better than staying here!

Heaven!!
Literally a resort on the river! These pictures do not do it justice. Everything you need is already in the house to have an amazing vacation. The owner was SO friendly and communicative, every single piece of furniture was comfortable and cozy. It’s a large house but still has that home-feel to it. We found amazing beaches that were just right up the street but mostly enjoyed the dock and pool right in the backyard! If you want the BEST vacation, book here! 😊

Excellent stay
This is our second stay in this property. We had a house full with family during my son’s wedding weekend. Everything was just as clean and perfect as the first time. We had a few water pressure issues but Maghen was very responsive and sent over help right away. I even baked desserts for my son’s rehearsal dinner and the kitchen had everything I needed. The views and the pool area are beyond compare. Thank you so much for another awesome experience!

Relaxing Loction
If you wanna unwind and get away... this is your place. Huge house! Quiet. Lots of action to watch on the river. Mahgen is a perfect host. She sent us links of cool things to do. There was a charcuterie welcome board. We took a scenic road to Amelia Island and had dinner at Bob's Steak and Chop House. Awesome place. Really nice beach too! It's like 10 mins from the house. Check this place out... well worth the price!

Beautiful home!
The house was so beautiful, exactly as pictured and more. The neighborhood is very nice, we enjoyed walking in the morning. The location is about 35 minutes to Amelia Island and about an hour to St. Augustine. We visited both places during our stay. There is no swimming in the river but it was a treat to watch big tankers and cruise ships go by. We even got to see the Coast Guard doing drills. The deck is fantastic! The very best part of this home is the owner, Maghen. She thought of everything to make our stay very comfortable. When we arrived there were plenty of snacks and lovely flowers. She was responsive the entire time with dining suggestions, answering questions, etc. It was a fantastic trip and a wonderful memory for our family. Highly recommend!
