They also do not provide a way for us to post public replies to reviews...
We are not sure why one of our guests decided to describe the Mandarin neighborhood as one of the worsts and hurt our business. The 'Dollar Store' down the road they mention is on the Westside, across the river and the killing they mention was in 2023 August and we are not aware of any homicide on our street either. What makes this even more confusing to us is that we had no issues with them during their stay.
For what matters: we consider that Mandarin and our street is a safe neighborhood and so did our guests. We hope that you will, too, if you still decide to stay with us.

Bad neighborhood
Was not aware that crime rate was high in that area. Didnt exactly feel face, always checking to make sure the doors was locked and checking the immediately after returning to the home. There was a homicide Saturday morning directly across the street. We was awakened by police banging on the door. Down the road at a dollar store 3 people was shot. Definitely not somewhere to Vacation with family and children.

This is amazing
We stay for a weekend and when we got there the tv had a small issue but the owner sent someone out the next morning to fit we loved how beautiful the home was and how well maintained it was and he apologize for some of the staining left by prior tenants but overall we had an amazing time they even let us extend our stay we loved this home

The location was great to many fun things. We did not use the back yard but the fence needs repaired if you were planning to use it with children. Everything we needed was there and our host was great and contacted us throughout our trip to see if we needed anything. Space was larger than we needed and was a great layout.

Perfect location
This home is very conveniently located in the Mandarin area. It is comfortable for both small children and adults. I especially liked that there were not a lot of decorations sitting around that the 3 year old would have wanted to touch. The kitchen had plenty of pans/dishes, the A/C worked great, the beds are comfy, and there’s plenty of room for folks to sit. It was also very clean. I would absolutely stay here again. Oh, and the owner is great about responding and super kind.

This property was in a great location. The home was very clean and quiet. it was located close to lots of shopping and places to eat. There is a traffic light at the entrance of the neighborhood making entering and exiting safe and easy. The stove was wobbly and the oven needed cleaned and the top element needed checked but other than that it was a great stay.

When we arrived check in was great. We were about 2 hrs early and she let us check in with no problem. She’s excellent at replying back, quick response. When we arrived there was an infestation of roaches so we had to reach out. She responded very quick and got pest control to come out next day. They had to come back for a second inspection. It was taken care of rarely fast it was just an inconvenience. We had to be there the 1st time for the inspector but the second time we didn’t. It’s still uncomfortable leaving strangers alone in your home. The bathrooms could’ve been cleaner. The shower heads residue and I had to clean them off. The bathrooms smelled like motel bathroom. She took off $150 for the inconvenience. It was a nice home overall. The best part about it was her quick responses

Good neighborhood, location
The place was great, 30 minutes from the airport, within 30 minutes away from the beach. Really appreciate the amenities that are included. During the 90 degree weather, the house kept cool, especially the bedrooms, which was definitely nice. The neighborhood was great too (I took a walk every morning before it got too hot outside). Stores were a 3-5 minute drive away, so it didn't require much driving to get food items, or any necessities. I definitely appreciated having WiFi, since I needed to work on a few work related items a couple times in the evening, and my mobile internet would have been too slow. A small bit of information, is that the built in WiFi router that is provided by the internet service provider allows up to a max of about 10 devices (e.g. phone, smart watch, laptop, tablet etc.). When the max limit is reached, you will just need to disconnect one of your devices and you should be able to connect to wifi on a new device. But otherwise, everything was great.

Family Get Away
The family and I took a road trip from California to Florida for the holidays- getting the kids out due to lockdowns. After 3 days on the road, we arrived around 11:30pm on 12/31/2020, just in time to ring in New Year 2021 and see the neighborhood fireworks from the front yard. (I had a little trouble with the VRBO site when trying to access the code to get in the house but Atilla was very responsive in that respect. Thank you!) We enjoyed family BBQ in the screened in back porch and the kids had a blast trying to catch little lizards in the back yard. The house is a little over 2 hours away from Universal Studios and about 45 minutes from St. Augustines- to visit the Alligator Farm (definitely recommend). We appreciated being able to park our rental car in the garage. Overall great and relaxing experience.
