A gorgeous, updated, three-bedroom house directly on Cayuga Lake but only minutes from downtown Ithaca. Our house has spectacular lake views, a modern floor plan, and beautiful, high-end construction and details. Special features include a stoned faced fireplace, striking wide plank floors, and a modern kitchen with modern appliances. First-floor full bath and guest room. Upstairs you will be delighted with the master suite with more gorgeous lake views. The driveway is realtively close to the front door compared to most other West Shore properties. Private frontage and dock. Kayaks, Canoe. Fast internet service with wifi, A/C, Washer Dryer, Roku TV, DVD player, gas fireplace, wine cooler.
Reasons to rent this house:
1) The single-family house is directly on Cayuga Lake with amazing views from the deck and dock, near wineries, and also only 5 minutes from downtown Ithaca restaurants and shopping, and less than 15 min. from the colleges.
2) We use only solar electricity, powered by Solar Farms, New York.
3) In summer, you can drive close to the front door, no major staircase to the house (as is common on Cayuga Lake). However, you must be able-bodied and sure-footed. There is a path with a series of concrete steps (a total of 21). In winter, we have a new staircase from the road with 52 steps. The house is not appropriate for anyone with walking disabilities (sorry).
4) There are 2.5 bathrooms.
5) Two kayaks on the property, a canoe, private dock.
6) The house is big enough for two families to share. We have 3 bedrooms and a bonus room (with a sleeper sofa), plus a sleeper sofa with memory foam mattress in the living room.
7) Our house is equipped with a high chair, a pack-n-play, an infant bath, and myriad toys, books, and games.
Who Can Rent:
The house is not appropriate for loud/late-night parties. We do not allow additional guests. Also, sorry, the house is not handicapped accessible.
All adult guests staying at the house must sign our license agreement and agree to our house rules.
Our property is steep. There is a long staircase to the house from the upper driveway with 52 steps. The path from the lower parking is relatively flat. All tenants and guests must be able to navigate the stairs with ease. Unfortunately, it is not handicapped accessible. We do not have a grass yard.
Winter: Our house is a real house that is winterized and you can set the thermostat to whatever is comfortable. We do not always plow or shovel the lower driver in winter. Winter tenants should plan to walk from the upper parking to the house.
