Delightful Downtown Ithaca Home & Garden

Professionally cleaned to help you be safe. Our Ithaca Home & Garden is a gracious, classically-detailed home with wonderful spaces to celebrate special occasions both indoors and out! The unit is wheel-chair manageable with spacious rooms, hallway and wheel-in shower. High speed internet offers 132 Mbps. Ask us about using the lovely garden to hold a small outdoor BBQ reception or a fun marshmallow roast at the fire pit.
The entire downstairs unit is for your use. It has a private front and back door, as well as French Doors opening to the private formal terrace and garden. Behind the garage is the outdoor dining area with a gas grill, and further back is a sitting area with a fire pit. We want you to enjoy it all!
Guests may enjoy and use the entire back yard. Tenants and guests upstairs in the house (who have their own private entry and outdoor deck) may request to use the dining area and the fire pit, but priority always goes to our downstairs guests.
We live nearby and we enjoy meeting our guests! We also respect your privacy and will be available as needed.
Walk to the Farmer's Market, to nearby eateries, coffee shops, and Ithaca Falls. Hike up Cascadilla Creek Trail to Cornell. Or, ride a Lime Bike on the nearby waterfront trail.
Walk, ride or bike. This location is close enough to walk to everything! Bus transport to Cornell and IC is available one block away. Rental Bikes are available at Bicycle Shops and at the Ithaca Youth Bureau. Get out and peddle!
This is a lovely space indoors and out, with lots of grace--please enjoy it!

Lovely spacious and relaxing main floor apartment
We had an excellent stay. The property is very central and we were able to walk everywhere. All rooms have generous proportions and are very tastefully decorated. The bathrooms and kitchen were well equipped. It really felt like we were staying in someone's house. We loved it!

Oh my goodness! This house!! As soon as you walk in your soak up the beauty of this home. Everything was spic and span. The living room and dining room were the perfect place to visit and play cards. The kitchen had everything you needed...even an electric tea kettle! The beds were very comfortable. We had a neighborhood kitty visit us in the morning while enjoying coffee on the back porch. Very convenient to shopping, cafes and all those beautiful waterfalls. We've stayed in quite a few homes over the years and this one was by far THE BEST!

We had a quick, but wonderful trip to Ithaca and Cornell for a concert weekend and could not have had a better trip and stay the home. The hosts couldn’t have been more helpful, responsive and accommodating and the home was wonderfully prepared for us. I would absolutely recommend anyone looking to stay in Ithaca to consider staying at this home. It was ideally located and in great condition.

This was a perfect rental for our college reunion. The location is great - in a charming, quiet neighborhood, easy walk to the wonderful Ithaca Farmers Market, Purity Ice Cream, Ithaca Bakery, Gimme Coffee, Moosewood Restaurant, downtown Collegetown Bagels, Ithaca Commons and other restaurants and stores. The apt is spacious, light, stylish and clean, with a lovely yard, comfortable beds, and good shower. The owners provided everything we could want - a well-stocked kitchen, plenty of bath towels, fresh flowers on the table, a welcome basket of tasty goodies, and they even adjusted the arrival and checkout times to suit our needs. We will definitely stay here again!

This property is a lovingly restored home with a mix of antiques and modern furniture. Lots of light, information on local attractions, everything we needed and then some (washer / dryer, umbrellas, etc), labelled with instructions. Beautiful private back yard with grill, fire pit, and places to eat outside. Flowers on the table when we arrived. Near restaurants and grocery stores. Beds, including foldout couch, were comfortable. Owner lives nearby and is very responsive. It was a terrific experience.

This was the perfect spot for our girls weeekend. Every detail was accounted for. The location is perfect and the rental extremely clean. There were fresh flowers on the table and lots of brochures to aid us with our weekend adventures. The beds were most comfortable, even the sleeper couch. The reservation process simple and communication clear and thorough. Our entire group of five raved about this property. The house is beautiful. Don’t even think twice, book it!

Beautiful Apartment in a Nice Location
This apartment occupies the first floor of a two story house and is well designed and furnished. There is easy access to a nice backyard with a barbecue and fire pit. The apartment is very comfortable and you can spend a lot of time there if you want to. The location makes it easy to walk to downtown Ithaca, or to a number of nice outdoor areas like Ithaca Falls, the Cayuga Lake shoreline, and a number of nice hiking/running/biking trails. The owners, Ann and Chad, live close by, and were very responsive to all of our needs and requests. They were also wonderful to talk to about local events and activities. In sum, a very pleasant and relaxing summer spot.

A perfect home for visiting local family in Ithaca!
Ann and Chad were extremely helpful and attentive while booking and during our stay, and their property was perfect for our family visit. We have stayed at a number of properties in and around Ithaca and this is one of our favorites. The home was very suitable for the 6 of us, ranging in age from 5-89. The entire home is well-equipped with everything we could have needed and more. All features indoors and out are maintained well, the house was clean, tastefully decorated, with plenty of extra bedding and towels should we need them. The kitchen had every item we could need for any kind of cooking/baking/entertaining, and was stocked with cleaning supplies. The garbage/recycling process was organized and easy to follow, and the washer dryer is clean and works well and supplied with laundry soap. We enjoyed having a few local family members over for grilling a few nights and also enjoyed the fire pit. We look forward to our next visit to this Ithaca property!

Wonderful (but rainy) stay in Ithaca
What a lovely apartment! I was blown away by how nicely it is decorated and laid out. Only on the last day did I discover that the building had been an Italian market back in the 1920s or so. Very nicely rehabbed into a spacious 2 bedroom place. The main living dining area is especially nice, with a large dining table, sofa, two comfortable arm chairs, etc. It looks out on a beautiful garden, which I wish I could have used, but for the almost-perpetual rain during my stay. I found two great coffee shops nearby - Botanist (1201 N. Tioga) and Gimme! Coffee at 430 N. Cayuga, which was only about a 10 minute walk. I heartily recommend Taverna Banfi at the Statler Hotel on Cornell's campus for upscale dinner. I wish I could have spent more time to explore the dining scene! There's so much to see within an hour or so of Ithaca: the Women's Rights National Historic Park and the "It's a Wonderful Life" (movie) Museum, both in Seneca Falls. At least five waterfalls which are all quite different (hiked to see those on an earlier trip), the Cornell Lab of Ornithology (birds) are nearby, and the fantastic Corning Museum of Glass. Ithaca is a great place as a base for a week-long exploration of that area of New York State. Looking forward to returning and spending more time!

Wonderful stay!
We stayed for almost a week and felt right at home! The house was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and having 2 bathrooms was a plus. The neighborhood is very quiet and within walking distance to restaurants, the farmers market, and the Commons. We would definitely stay again if we return to Ithaca!
