"Excellent position at the top of the town. Cozy apartment and even though the heat wasn't allowed to be on yet for the season, it was certainly bearable on chilly October days/nights. Some people might dislike the church bells ringing in such close proximity but that never bothered us during our stay. You can’t walk easily to Varenna but the drive is quick and parking was easy in the garage. If you are looking for beauty and relaxation, this is the perfect place. "

"The apartment was exactly as pictured with a gorgeous view of the lake! The area is private and quiet. Laura was so kind to us! She picked us up at the train station and took me grocery shopping. We did not rent a car and the apartment is about a mile from town. I would say you might want one if you want to be out late. The trail to town is rustic and not something you could do in the dark. It is very steep! The apartment was well equipped and we got groceries and made a lite dinner each...
