Pros:
Location-the hotel is only 20 mins from the airport, away from the city, in a quaint village with narrow streets and cute restaurants. The beach is right there.
Views-the sunsets are breathtaking. Splurge on a room with a view!
Restaurant-the food in the hotel restaurant is delicious
Pool-the saltwater pool is overlooking the sea, the pool bar is convenient, although service sluggish
Service-the front desk staff do seem eager to help, not all of them speak English, but they try. Restaurant staff is also pretty good. Bar service by the pool-not good. Be prepared to wait for your drinks. Sometimes they have to go find the bartender to mix a drink, and it takes a while. A couple of times it didn’t happen at all.
Cons:
Rooms-rooms are basic and could use a facelift. My room was not very clean, particularly the bathroom floor. I didn’t tell the staff, since I was out of the room all day. My room was not cleaned at all during my three-day stay.
AC-the air conditioner in my room wasn’t working properly, again I didn’t complain and just slept with my window open.
Beach-it not the hotels fault since it’s public beach, but it’s just awful. Full of trash and plastic pieces. Just really really sad. And they charge $2-4 per person. Good enough to take a walk at sunset though.
To conclude, I would return because of the value and the food and the authenticity of the village.
