"Very nice property with everything you néed. The walk into the village is just over 1km, either along a hilly route, which is quieter, or along a level route, where you walk right next to a busy road. The latter option is okay in the evenings, when traffic is less.Nice views from the house. Great Terrace to sit outside. "

"This was our favorite stay during our few weeks of travel through the UK. It is about 20 minutes from town (restaurants and shopping). It was really clean, several rooms, full kitchen, and washer/dryer!! The views at this location were fabulous! "

"Super location (as long as you like a little solitude) with cracking views. Lovely clean, comfortable and well-equipped cottage that you looked forward to returning to after a busy day. Not a lot in the village amenity wise but the pub is nice and is doing takeaway food during the current restrictions, so at least you don`t have to cook if you really don`t want to. If we return to the area we would look to stop here again if we could, no question. Review independently collected and verified by...

"Ansprechend und vollständig eingerichtet (TV, Waschmaschine, Herd, Backofen, Mikrowelle, Wasserkocher, Toaster, Kontaktgrill). Damit ist dann sämtliche Arbeitsfläche verbraucht. Mangels Spülmaschine sind dann sowohl Abwasch als auch Kochen eher umständlich. Im Gegensatz zur Menge der Geräte ist die Qualität im unteren Bereich: Billige Töpfe mit runden Böden, stumpfe Messer, Backofen heizt nicht richtig, bei allen beweglichen Teilen lockere Schrauben. Im Schlafzimmer gibt es nur ein Regal, Licht...

"From our arrival through to our departure, The Birdhouse surpassed our expectations. It's beautifully designed and it's in an amazing location. Kristen and Gregor are perfect hosts, super friendly and helpful. There are lots of stunning walks and scenery to explore in Applecross Bay. I highly recommend a stay and hope to return to The Birdhouse one day. "

"Had a really good stay here with the family. It was definitely a true Scottish experience having to use the woodburner to heat the lounge and great that the cottage was up together but traditional. It wasn’t overly modernised but not dated either. Would definitely return. Well positioned for many good walks."

"Booked this pretty much last minute. The photos do not do this property much justice. The location and views are stunning. Being covid aware at the moment, the property was spotlessly clean and hand sanitisers provided. The furnishings all modern and comfortable. The owner was very responsive to a couple of queries we had Some lovely local walks on the doorstep and easy access to Skye. "We really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage suited our needs, and we appreciated the amenities in the cottage, including the laundry, kitchen and shower facilities. The setting is lovely and quiet, and we enjoyed walking and exploring the village, the stunning views, and finding sea glass by the shore. It definitely suited our budget as we were able to drive into the Isle of Skye, spend the day, and drive back to the cottage for the night, The cottage is also close to Eilean Donan castle...

"The hotel was very clean , comfortable and finished to a high standard. We were made to feel very welcome by the owner and he was always happy to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel has wonderful views and the lounge and dining room allow you to relax and make full use of the views The breakfasts were also tasty and plentyful."
