Wonderful Location

House was beautiful inside! Enjoyed the two outdoor porches. Very close to the Ocean! Boathouse Restaurant was delicious and within walking distance. Plenty of room and seating. Kitchen had everything we needed. If you like Italian food the Bricco Bracco is a must!

Relaxing Stay

We enjoyed our stay. The house was cute and spacious. Loved that we could sit on the deck and enjoy the relaxing sounds of the beach. We would stay there again. Only one down side was the fire detector in the main bedroom was not in place. Other than that, everything was great.

Lovely

Good location, very comfortable home. Love the screened porch and upper deck. Was a little difficult finding the key box in the dark. More specific instructions as to location of the box and a light left on would be helpful.

Great Vacation Home

The house was clean and well kept. The are was beautiful with an amazing view from the top deck and everything worked as it should. We had an amazing time and would most definitely do it again. There is a washer and dryer although we did not use them. A/C was phenomenal. Tge beach was one of the best I had been to due to the lack of people. We encountered a large crab, a couple of horseshoe crab shells, sand dollars, and some cool seashells. The screened porch was awesome. You are also only 25 minutes to Charleston, which is a beautiful city.

Our third stay in 10 years

This was our third stay here in the past 10 years. The property is nice and an easy walk to the beach. The onlybproblem that wd had was that the master bath shower was full of black mildew all along the base. We txted the property manager on day 1 and asked that it be cleaned an caulked immediately. They said they would take care of it the next day, but they never came. This meant we could only use one shower for our week stay. Property is great but managment is not.

The home's furnishings were comfortable and there was room for all to lounge. On the screened porch the table is a bit weathered but we put an outdoor tablecloth on it and it was perfect for the several nights we ate dinner on it. The beds in the rooms were comfortable and had plenty of pillows. In the double room, one of the headboards was broken but we contacted Vacasa and they said it would be fixed after be left, which was no big deal. The kitchen was filled with plenty of dishes, utensils, pots, pans and platters. The dishwasher was the only issue for our stay. We called on it also and they were not able to fix it while we were there, so we did dishes by hand. I think the patios, screened and upper, were our favorite place to hang out for dinners, morning coffees and breakfasts or just relax. I liked watching the ocean from the upper deck and relaxing in the breeze on the Adirondack chairs. The beach is an easy and quick walk from the house. Overall, the house was perfect for our party of 6. We would stay here again

Hurricane Blues

Booked a 4 night, 5 day stay, had to leave 2 days earlier because of a hurricane approaching the area, Vasaca gave excuses for no refund on remaining time☹️☹️☹️ Lost a customer, won’t do business with them again Other than the customer service being greedy, we had a great time for 2 days. Will go back to the area again but will not book anything through Vasaca !!!!

Beautiful house

We loved the house. It was beautiful and clean. We only had a few problems: 1. Check-in and checkout were cumbersome, as we had to drive to an office before and after our visit. 2. A house is being built exactly behind this one, and the construction was SO LOUD. 3. The blow dryer was from the 1970s and didn't work. and 4. We couldn't find the washer and dryer, and the house included no instructions inside it.

Clean property- spacious house

Enjoyed our stay- very clean house and close to the beach. House did smell a bit musty but that's probably due to the closeness to the ocean. Construction going on next door which woke us up at 7am during our stay- a bit annoying as there was a noise ordinance for us but apparently it doesn't apply for construction. It was unsightly as well as there was a big garbage dumpster right outside of the house which brought vermin around in the evening. Other than this temporary issue we would choose to stay here again when the construction is over. Rental agency said there could be a chance for early check in or late checkout but that was not an option. Driving for the keys was a bit of a pain as well but overall we enjoyed our stay!

Quiet stay by the Ocean

We loved the screened in porch and the very short walk to the beach. Very quiet neighborhood and easy to get on and off the island. Water pressure in showers could be a tad better. We were expecting to use the washer/dryer in the unit but the washer was not working and we received very little information from management regarding what the problem was and when it would be fixed. Information was not updated without us having to message several times about the status. We stayed 17 nights and expected to use the washer/dryer. Ended up going to a laundry mat which wasted relaxing porch time. We would stay again but would ask if the washer was fixed before booking. Kitchen could use some more bowls but other than that it was well stocked with dishes and utensils. Would be nice if they supplied more paper products and extra towels (couldn't wash them due to washer was broken) for each guest for the price you pay.

Mixed Bag

Vacasa was great to work with. They made sure to provide all of the information needed in a timely manner. The check-in and check-out process was very easy. The house was a mixed bag. The location was great. It is a quiet and peaceful area. The outdoor space was also fantastic. The top deck has a view of the ocean and the bottom screened in porch is nice for sitting outside. The bathrooms and kitchen are updated and very nice. We cooked on Christmas day and the kitchen is well stocked with everything that you need. The television is great and we had no problems with the wifi and streaming. Also, the house was clean for the most part. However, the house definitely needs some TLC. Most of the furniture feels old and outdated. Many pieces are damaged or just worn and stained. There are some minor issues that just need repaired (a broken lamp and broken blinds in the second bedroom, a missing smoke detector in the master bedroom, etc). The carpet upstairs is worn out and stained. It just could use some general upkeep. Also, we could never find the source but there was a strong musty/old odor in the house. In fairness to Vacasa - it was the Christmas weekend and we did not ask them to do any repairs during our stay. The house worked for our stay and we didn't spend too much time at the house with so many fun things to do in the area. We will stay in that area again when we come back and we will use Vacasa again. However, we would not choose to stay at this house again.

Sufficient place to sleep

I was somewhat disappointed with the rental even though we only slept, showered and had breakfast there. The kitchen and baths have recently been updated. However there was very little appeal to the ambiance of the unit. It was cold and dark. It doesn't get much direct sunlight. The furniture was old and tired looking. The unit could really benefit from new furnishings, some softer surfaces, dimmers on lights and a decorators touch. The screened porch, although nice, didn't provide for comfortable/relaxing seating. It had 2 wood Rockers, a wooden swing and a metal table and chairs. The kitchen was not as well equipped as compared to other rentals we've rented in the past. The master bed was comfortable but the others were not. They are older and/or cheap mattresses. Oddly all the mattresses were covered in plastic covers (under the sheets). We found it to be unnecessary and a bit unpleasant. The 2 bedrooms with ladders and lofts don't appear to be safe for families with small children. The hall bath was very pretty and roomy, the master bath and shower was smaller. The washer and dryer are in the basement with a separate outside entrance which was inconvenient especially when it rained. We had an issue with Palmetto bugs in the bedrooms and kitchen throughout the entire week. I expect them outside but not in! We contacted the rental company and they sent out an exterminator, however we continued to find palmetto bugs in the house afterwards.
