"Great location very comfortable and good food in restaurant only complaint was reception not very knowledgeable but they did try to help with questions but always had to get their supervisor. Also were unable to provide me with a plaster. Waited 40 mins for iron. "

"This property is awesome! Brigette runs an amazing outlet. My family loved the location, the indoor games, the swimming pool and private beach. The staff at the reception are very friendly and welcoming especially Lindelani. The hotel is spotlessly clean and very comfortable."

"We pitched up at a closed down hotel after a gruelling mountainbike race in 38 degrees celsius!! The Wartburg hotel has been closed since Nov 2019! We booked this last week and money was taken from my credit card. Luckily we found alternative accomodation 40km further. We would like our money back. "

"Leadwood cottages at Tala are fantastic. The cottages are huge with an incredible open plan design leading directly into nature. They are also extremely private. Everything was clean and well presented. The wildlife sightings were amazing, with minimal effort."

"Definitely different. Beautiful African beadwork, artwork and spectacular wood furnishings. One could spend hours soaking it all up. Our arrival was disappointing. Taken in through a side door to our room with no orientation about the palace its surroundings local places to eat. Exterior beautiful gardens neglected. Viewing deck total overgrown. "I booked before arriving at the hotel. When I got there, they told me my booking hasn't come through but the money credited into my account, till today I have not receive my money back, I had to pay again at the hotel because it was already late, "

"The Hotel has so much potential but there is a clear lack of care. During breakfast the linen was dirty. The breakfast was poor considering it cost R200 per person. The hotel is not cheap, but leaves a lot to be desired."

"A really tranquil, cosy, stunning property that makes you feel like you’re in the complete wilderness. So peaceful and the bed is probably the nicest one I’ve ever slept on. Highly recommend this beautiful property to stay at. I’ll be back again - thanks!"

"Lovely old style house and grounds - gated. Good overnight stay. Very friendly owner and staff with travel advice. Safe. Renovation works going on but luckily did not effect our 1 night stay. "
