Had I been wiser, I'd have brought my own pillow. The pillows at River Lodge were more like bags of lumps than pillows. This made it impossible to sleep very well. And if you can't sleep, no matter how nice everything else is, staying there isn't worth it.

Smelled of dog and floors were dirty. They were going to move us, but it was late and we already carried all our stuff in by the time I spoke with them. It was dark inside, so I didn’t see that the table was dirty until morning. And I wish I knew that we would have to leave the property for our “included” breakfast. It was not on-site. Not enough outlets for charging our electronics.

Breakfast was extremely limited. No tea bags, creamer, or bagels. Only items provided were eggs, cereal, limited muffins. No staff at property. Had to drive a few blocks over to get information at another property inorder to check in.

This hotel was next to the highway and you heard all of the traffic. In addition, the room does not have sound insulation so you could hear people talking, just talking, i.e. not in raised voices and you could hear people walking in the room above.

The mini-cabin was nice. Our main frustration centered around getting into the cabin. When we arrived the key was not where it said it would be. A key was delivered promptly but the following day when we first used it, we discovered it did not work easily. It usually took over a minute to two minutes to gain entry into the cabin every time we left and returned. This happened repeatedly over a two day stay.
