We have enjoyed being an Vrbo short term rental property since 2019. During that time we have had 30 five-star reviews. We recently changed management and were surprised that, as the owners of the property, we were no longer allowed to claim ownership of those reviews, nor could we display them. We are extremely proud of this history of 5-star reviews and want to give credit and gratitude to the previous management and cleaning staff. They are the ones that made all this possible! We, as the new management team and original owners of Pelican Point, will do our very best to maintain their excellent work! Pelican Point Lodge is a 7,600 sq/ft vacation home on the shores of Island Park Reservoir with 1.7 acres of beautifully landscaped property in a gated community. As the owners and managers, we will ensure you have a great stay. Please feel free to message us with your questions. Our home is well suited to families or for an executive retreat and it will provide a memorable experience for a small group, so we strictly limit occupancy to only 12 people. Large events or parties are not allowed.
Pelican Point is a 35-minute scenic drive to the west entrance of Yellowstone Park. In the park, you will see steaming geysers, thundering waterfalls, and world famous panoramic vistas. While visiting in Yellowstone, you will most likely see native bison, antelope, deer, moose elk and bald eagles and maybe even a bear. Adventurers will discover fields of wild flowers and other natural wonders on the numerous hiking trails.
"5 RETIRED COUPLES TOUR YELLOWSTONE: The place was wonderful! Check in process was a breeze, 5 king beds with private bathrooms suited our group well. It’ll be difficult to go back to my own kitchen. This kitchen has everything you could ever need. The Butlers pantry was almost as big as the kitchen. The lake views were beautiful. We used the fire pit and grill area several times. Even did some fishing from the dock. Visited Yellowstone 4 of our 6 days there. It’s about a 45 minute drive to the west gate. June 2021
In addition to Yellowstone Park there are other nearby scenic areas to explore such as Teton National Park, Harriman State Park, Mesa Falls, Jackson Hole Wyoming etc. Maps are provided.
Pelican Point is an executive lodge with five master bedrooms in the main house all with king size beds, spacious closets and en suite bathrooms and lake views. The sixth bedroom is in a separate apartment connected to the main house by a breezeway. It has a king size bed, fireplace, kitchenette and en suite bathroom. These six suites are deluxe and private since they are each in different wings of the home.
You have access to the entirety of this magnificent space. There are 6.5 bathrooms and an open floor plan with lake views in nearly every room. The home has three floors with a common area on each floor.
On the main floor, there is a well appointed kitchen and attached butler's pantry with everything you might need to prepare fine meals. The dining area has a spectacular view of the lake and is a perfect place to enjoy meals with your family and friends.

For those who have some work to finish or would like a quiet place to read there is a large office/library with a fine mountain view. Internet connection is provided by fiber optic cable.
There is a large family room adjoining the kitchen with a beautiful fireplace, comfortable seating and glass doors which open onto a deck where you can eat outside or just enjoy the view.

There is the main bedroom suite on the main floor with a luxurious jetted tub, fireplace and walk in closet.
Upstairs, there is an open loft and access to two king suites with a great view of the family room below.
Downstairs has a fun open area with a pool table, fireplace, seating and glass doors which open onto the patio. On the patio is a unique fire pit where you could build a bonfire. There is a dining area with seating and a barbeque for grilling. Beyond the patio, is a grass lawn and then the beautiful sandy beach with private dock. You have access to the lake right from the backyard. Bring or rent water toys and fishing gear and get ready to be on the water!
There are two king suites on this floor as well as a spacious theater room.
