Handcrafted Log Cabin On Island Park Reservoir With Beautiful Views & Hot Tub!

This beautiful, secluded cabin, dubbed the "Treehouse", is located on an elevated lot in the gated Centennial Shores community. It boasts expansive views of Island Park Reservoir, forested hills, historic Trude Ranch Property, and the majestic Centennial Mountains. You can enjoy this view from the cabin's wrap-around deck, crafted with unique old-growth cedar posts and railings. A short walk of about 5min, or a 1min drive from the Treehouse, will get you to a sandy beach area on the reservoir for fishing, swimming, and other water sports. Also available to you are 2 boat launching ramps with docks, and a large, grassy park to the east.

Inside this unique cabin you will immediately notice its beautiful craftsmanship and be welcomed by cedar tongue and groove ceilings, high log trusses and beams, a cozy great room with a gas fireplace, a 22 ft high window wall, and stair posts and railings of large old-growth cedar.

The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, including a 48" commercial-style gas cook-top, a large island, and beautiful granite countertops. The Treehouse contains 5 queen-sized, handcrafted, large log beds, with a hide-a-bed in the loft area. The Master Suite, located on the main floor, is carpeted and has an electric fireplace. The on-suite bath is tiled in natural stone, with an air tub and shower. French doors offer private access to the deck area. The second floor, fully carpeted, contains 2 large bedrooms with french doors opening to balconies, an open loft area, and stone tiled bathroom.

The Treehouse is located just minutes away from some of the area's best attractions. Just a 35-40 minute drive north on Highway 20 will get you to the gates of Yellowstone National Park, or a few short minutes away is Henry's Fork, where you can enjoy fly fishing on the Snake River or Madison River. 20 minutes south on Highway 20 will bring you to beautiful Mesa Falls and Harriman State Park. Visit Big Springs and Johnny Sacks cabin, or take a drive up Sawtelle Mountain, where the views are endless. Guided float trips, horseback riding, and golf are all just minutes from the cabin. Hiking is second to none here, with trailheads in the nearby State Parks, along Targhee Creek, Coffeepot, and many other nearby locations. Miles of cross-country skiing and snowmobile/ATV trails leave right from your cabin door. Or, stay home and relax in our brand new Bullfrog R7 series hot tub, offering mountainous views off our back patio! There's no limit to your adventure here!

Bring your own toys or rent from one of the locally owned businesses in Island Park. We suggest:

www.islandparkpolaris.com
www.highmountainadventures.com

We can provide links to the snowmobile trail map, grooming report, and winter rec info if requested.

Note to winter renters:
The cabin driveway is plowed out regularly in winter months, however in the event of a snowstorm during your stay, we suggest guests unload their equipment at the cabin and park trailers at the Kilgore-Yale and Old Shotgun Rd intersection. We also highly suggest that guests staying in the winter come up in a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Winter weather can be unpredictable in Island Park, and without 4-wheel drive, you may find yourself stuck until a snowplow can get back out to the area.

Also, a note to ATV/Snowmobile riders that recreational vehicles are required to be on the designated trails and never on personal property. The HOA at Centennial Shores will fine property owners if renters ride off trail or use un-built cabin lots as their riding destination. If a violation is reported, renters will be charged a $75 daily fine for each incidence.

Note to summer/fall rentals:
We are on a reservoir so water levels will start dipping in late July due to irrigation and current drought conditions. Usually this does not hinder water recreation such as boating, fishing, swimming, etc, but if you are concerned, please contact us to check the current water levels.

Also note, our cabin is not equipped with A/C. It is uncommon for properties in Island Park to have A/C, and it generally is not needed, even in the summer months.

This is a non-smoking, pet free cabin. We are also under a county ordinance for short term rentals and ask that our guests please stay in compliance for their safety and health; we ask that you stay within our occupancy limits, read the burn ordinances and please be neighborly.

Check in: 4:00pm - Check out: 11:00am
(Please contact owner if need early or late check-in or departure and we will do our best to accommodate your request).

Great getaway location!
This property was fantastic. The attention to detail when designing and building this cabin is incredible. We had three generations of family for our stay and everyone loved it. The bedrooms were comfortable. The kitchen is good enough for any chef. All in all it has a relaxed, homey feel in a spectacular setting.

Beautiful Cabin <3
This cabin is one of the most beautiful I have ever been in. It was comfortable and had everything we could have possibly needed. It was very apparent that the owners put a tremendous amount of thought into the design of this cabin. I would return in a heartbeat! Thank you Curtis & Gloria for sharing your beautiful home.

Paradise in Island Park!
This place is one of the most incredible VRBO stays we have had to date. Nestled in Island Park, this paradise is away from everyone so you are sure to find peace and tranquility. This house is immaculate. The owners are very generous to share this serene abode with all. They are very communicative and the place is stunningly beautiful and very well taken care of.

Family Vacation
This house was perfect for ourseleves, 2 adult children with their families. We rentedbthis house due to the proximity to Yellowstone's west entrance, but unfortunately mother nature caused flooding and the park was closed. However, there are so many sight seeing, hiking and adventure opportunities in the area we all managed to have a wonderful time. The house is very well equipped with everything you might need! Would definitely rent this house again.

BEST Christmas vacation! This cabin was the perfect setting for celebrating Christmas with our family. We loved our stay at the treehouse and highly recommend the experience inside and out. Beautifully crafted cabin that was well maintained and comfortable. Island Park itself is a destination location to experience. Snowmobiling and sledding in deep power was a blast! Yellowstone NP in the winter is a bucket list type experience. The treehouse is a perfect base camp to explore all its surrounding Beauty. The memories will last a life time. Thank you for sharing.

"PERFECT, SPECTACULAR, BREATH TAKING TREE - HOUSE CABIN" !!!
Our annual family summer vacation was a total success...mostly because of the awesome, amazing tree house. Such a beautiful cabin, lovely decor, and spotless. The cleanest VRBO we have ever rented. The Morgans did not skimp on anything. Cabin is furnished with all the towels, bedding, tv, wi fi, kayaks, fishing poles, kitchen utensils. Everything at your finger tips. Within walking distance to the reservoir. Beautiful views from the cabin. I could have stayed there forever.

The Perfect Place for the Perfect Family Vacation
We were thrilled with our rental experience. Our stay was absolutely perfect. The cabin is just as described and was even better in person. The owners provided everything to help create a wonderful vacation for our family from the well-stocked kitchen, variety of water toys, comfortable beds, really clean and immaculate cabin, and communication from the owner. The location in Island Park was perfect. Close enough to visit West Yellowstone, hike some beautiful trails, enjoy the local restaurants, and to play on the lake--and yet tucked away enough to experience the quiet we were hoping for. We are so grateful we chose to rent this cabin and hope to return again with our children and grandchildren very soon. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Perfect Yellowstone get-away!
The Treehouse was perfect for our two families! There were 9 of us and we loved that there were plenty of places to sleep and that we could all sit at that amazing table together for dinner. The kitchen had everything that we needed to cook our meals. We took the kayaks out and had a fantastic water fight at the lake. The trip into Yellowstone was easy and we loved the sights but coming home to the Treehouse made the vacation extra special. Your cabin allowed us to be together and not separated into rooms of a hotel. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

A very special family vacation
Thank you to the property owner for taking such great care of their home and sharing it with others. We enjoyed the remoteness of the house and the privacy in the neighborhood. It felt like an adventure home near the reservoir but also we could access so many attractions in the area. We loved the wildlife we saw and were very near to Eagle Ranch where we went horseback riding, as well as to Lakeview Lodge where we rented jet skiis. Per other reviews, the home is very clean and user friendly. The Wifi worked well for us. We took part in quite a few local suggestions that the property own made. Many thanks for a great trip!

Wonderful Stay!
Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our time here ! Off the beaten path but very much worth it after long days spent in Yellowstone. The views from the back of the house were breathtaking and we enjoyed sunset evenings and nights by the fires every night. To be able to see land and mountains as far as the eye can see, was the cherry ok too for me. Incredible privacy! The house was immaculate, all as described. Actually, the house itself was far more beautiful than the pictures I’m the listing. We had length of space for us and our 4 kids. Comfy rooms and beds, everything you need in the kitchen . We loved our stay here, thank you for letting us stay your place!

Blissful place!
Beautiful views! Mountains, prairie, lake! We loved the house and staying there. There were no matches to start the fire in fire pit. Also there was no paddle board as listed. Unfortunately we were not able to utilize the lake there as we did not have a vehicle to transport the kayaks to the water. Suggest leaving a lighter and having a wheeled kayak transporter available. Also some box fans for bedrooms when temps are warmer than usual. We were decently comfortable with the windows open though. Beds were comfy and the kitchen well stocked !

Amazing Log Home
We made the Treehouse our home base for a trip to Yellowstone. The house was spectacular in design and detail. The pictures do not/can not do it justice. We are a family of 4 and it provided us with the perfect accommodations to spend QT together and get a little time to ourselves. The house and area was so pretty we decided to skip the first day in the park and just hang out at the property. Beds and couch were comfortable, as was bedding and towels. There is a nice jacuzzi tub in the master and kitchen is great for cooking family meals together. The family that owns the house are easily accessible and accommodative. The two things you should know are 1) it is 35 minutes from West Yellowstone Entrance and 2) although there are a few convenience stores in town, there is no real supermarket. If I had read the directions from the owners prior to arriving, I would have known this!

Felt like vacationing in a postcard!
The cabin was rented by 9 of us. Six adults and 3 kids. It was a great size, very clean, and the outdoor space was AMAZING! You want a mountain view- got it. You want a water view- got it. It is about 40 minutes to west entrance of Yellowstone, so be aware of that. It worked for us as we planned whole days there. Also- there are no major grocery stores close, so please plan accordingly. That being said- we all had an amazing time and do to some advanced planning, we thought the Treehouse was perfect. And Curtis and Gloria politely and promptly answered MANY questions from me. They were very gracious! They even stocked a crockpot in the kitchen so dinner can cook while you are away at Yellowstone all day! This cabin is great and you are certain to enjoy your time there!

Beautiful Home
if you’re coming to the area for Yellowstone National Park or the Tetons I do not recommend this home. It’s an 1.5-2 hours to get to either entrance. There’s an 18 min drive JUST to get outside the neighborhood and to just a gas station (which btw isn’t open all night long). The road leading to this home is gravel for 10 miles. It’s absolutely horrible. The home itself though is absolutely beautiful. You certainly do not need to leave the home to have a good time. It’s fully equipped with kitchen supplies, movies, blankets, everything you can think of! We LOVED the home but unfortunately will never be back because of the minimum 4 hours in the car each day.

Really roomy and upscale rustic vibe
We traveled to Island Park with our two 20-something children. Plenty of room at the Treehouse to stretch out in our own space. The entire home is very clean…well-appointed with everything you can think of. The kitchen is great, with quality appliances. We spent an entire day aside from our trips to Yellowstone just at the house. Kids went kayaking on the reservoir, we went fishing, and enjoyed s’mores around the fire. Such a lovely, restful day. The property is sort of remote, about an hour from West Yellowstone, and miles down a dirt road. Entrance to the gated community was a bit confusing but not a big deal. What WAS a big deal was how UNCOMFORTABLE the master bed was. After two fitful nights on the unsupportive, creaking and sagging mattress, we discovered much better nights’ sleep on the recliners in the living room. Water pressure was good, but the kids did remark how the shower heads were awkward. In all, despite the uncomfortable master bed, we enjoyed a wonderful time and would recommend The Treehouse.
