Five weeks in Islamorda
Well, location and condo was great. ran into some problems in the unit that management thought I should and could fix…bad advice for a renter pay a nice sum to rent!!! First air condition went out on Sunday. Response was just use an android charger to fix Nest thermostat. We are apple people!! Told to check with neighbors to see if had one which we did not do. Finally sent a technician 3 days later to fix and he had to install new thermostat. The floors in the condo were very dirty, all tile, so got black feet when walking bare feet. Had to buy cleaning supples to clean and there was a mop but no bucket to use. Sheets were well worn and bedroom sparely furnished…no table lamps or lamps in one bedroom. Towels were great. Cable TV was cancelled, spent hours talking to Comcast about it over several days, contacted owner..he said he fixed it..was not fixed so finally talked to someone at Comcast to help me and reinstated the service. Parking in front of condo was impossible some days..neighbor came down for long weekends and had 3 cars in the family for 5 parking spots. Again we paid a large sum to rent this condo and these problems were not to ours to solve!!! There were a few other smaller problems but these were the most disturbing. Management was slow to respond and luckily when the owner stopped by I got his phone number. Otherwise…the location is great, the pool area was nice(not enough chairs on some days for all the people) and the other people we meet were very friendly!
