Run Away From This Place!!!
This place is so far misrepresented. The photos are about 30 years old. This was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. I will post photos on Trip Advisor so you can see how bad this place. is. The beach was average at best. The beds were super worn. The water wasn't running in the room. We used a 32 gallon garbage can, as a basin to hold water for a shower. The bathroom floor was asphalt roof tiles. The base of the toilet was leaking, and you had to pour water from a bucket in the tank, to get it to flush. The toilet was leaking from where it was mounted to the floor. Sewage was seeping across the floor. Then the water in the sink wasn't available, you had to use a bucket with mold growing on it to wash your hands. The boat dropped us off, and then we realized that this place was a total miserable trap. At the restaurant, there was only coke, water, and fruit punch to drink, and they ran out of Coke. The room was super dirty, rough wood floors. This place used to be a zoo of sorts, and I think they turned the keepers housing into rooms to rent. The A/C was only good during the night, and wouldn't cool the room after 10am. I have traveled to 41 countries, through some of the poorest places, and this tops the charts of miserable places. We weren't prepared for camping, but that is what we got.
