"We love Avani, but this trip the hotels both in a Bangkok and Khon Kaen seemed a little tired. In Khon Kaen, incredible staff. Everyone was so kind and helpful. I love the staff. In the room, the bed was really squeaky and seemed to need a box spring replacement. The shower and bathroom were okay, but the light was incredibly dim. "I’ve stayed here four times and have been pleased with each stay. The price is a good deal. It has good WiFi, clean rooms with comfortable beds. There are security cameras monitoring the hallways and rooms have a balcony. It is located down a very quiet soi which makes it very peaceful at night. "The breakfast buffet was very large, but the food was never hot or many times even warm. The serving trays may have had hot water below them when first put out at there opening in the morning, but 2 or so hours later they did nothing. This included waffle or pancakes which I ended up running through the toaster. Thai dishes were also cold."

"Having stayed here 4 years before the hotel has changed to a more Thai clientele this now means breakfast is more Thai based and selections for European breakfast items are very limited. We were woken up most days at 7 am by guests staying in the room above running across the floor above us and what sounded like dragging things across the floor and as well as guests having conversations outside our ground floor window.
