Nice cottage on all sports Big Bass Lake in Irons Michigan. 3 bedroom, 2 bath. Kitchen dining room & living room open concept with a beautiful view of the lake. Flatscreen TV with cable. Central air conditioning.
2 - 8 foot sliding doors leading out to a large spacious deck with a beautiful lake view. 1 bedroom downstairs 2 upstairs. Laundry room with washer and dryer. Cottage has large yard for outdoor fun with bonfire pit, bag toss game, horse shoes, bad mitten/ volleyball game. Dock with 2 kayaks, paddle boat & canoe available. Some life jackets available. You can bring your own Motor craft public access right down the road and you can tie up to the dock in front of the house.

Great place for a long visit
We stayed here for a couple of weeks in early summer and really enjoyed our visit. Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Wouldn't think twice about booking it again for another long stay.

Very nice property. It was very well equipped with everything you need. The pontoon was an added bonus. The host was excellent at answering all questions and getting back to you immediately. We enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful lake, house has plenty of room, has everything you would need in the house and kitchen, very clean. Kayaks, small sandy beach, beautiful sunrises, swimming and fishing. My grandkids loved it.

Nice, peaceful and relaxing
The cabin is cute and very clean sitting close to the beautiful warm lake. The kitchen was well stocked, including spices. Kayaks, floats, and several lawn games were provided. We enjoyed days of kayaking, floating, riding bikes, reading, playing yard games, bonfires and watching the boats go around. Very nice private area. We enjoyed our time there very much.

Cozy beach cottage
We had a wonderful, relaxing time at this cute lakeside cottage. The cottage was clean and stocked with everything a person could possibly need. However, finding the fridge door stuffed with opened, partially used condiments was unacceptable to us. Everything else was great!

my only concern is the water ,nothing mentioned about iron in water ,i can not drink that type of well water. Just bring your own .water.

Family Vacation
Victoria is wonderful! So easy to communicate with and very responsive and helpful! The house is adorable and the lake is beautiful. The pontoon is such a lovely addition and the ability to dock our fishing boat right in front of the house was a huge asset. Only challenge about our stay was that we found the intermittent/unavailable cell coverage to be difficult. One rental suggestion is to update the mattresses and pillows. Otherwise, very cute place and a great fit for our family. Would love to come again!

A great family getaway
We had one small issue when we arrived but it was not the fault of the owner and she was easy to reach and handled the problem very quickly. We had a wonderful time at this property. There wasn’t any internet, but that ended up being a good thing so we couldn’t get distracted by technology. We loved the canoe and kayaks and paddle boat. We went to traverse city one day and Manistee another day. Both have lots of stuff to do and access to Lake Michigan beaches. Nearby this property is Club 37 and they have the BEST French dips! We loved our time spent on big bass lake and will likely be back!! Thanks Vicki!!

Fun For the Whole Family!
What a nice summer getaway! The house was clean and nicely decorated, the beds were comfy, the kitchen was stocked, and the deck was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunshine! There's plenty of activities provided to keep you busy, with kayakes, a pedal boat and rafts to enjoy the beach area, we spent most of our time outside. We also brought badminton and some other outdoor activities and there was plenty of room on the property for them all. As mentioned in other reviews, there's not much for dining/shopping in the area. The closest store we found was 17 minutes away, which had great jerkey and an assortment of fresh meats. I'd suggest bringing your own food and making use of the kitchen. One other thing to note, there's a flock of geese that love the yards which is fun to watch, but bring watershoes or flip flops, cuz you'll need them! Victoria was an amazing host, very friendly and attentive, and the property manager Fran was fantastic too! Would visit again in the future!

Quiet, Beautiful beach getaway
Sandy, secluded beach get away! Warm, clear water. Kids had a blast at the beach. Relaxing place for a vacation away! We took a day trip to Ludington state park (50 min drive) which was beautiful but we really enjoyed just being at the beach house. You can’t beat the location to the water! Two full baths which was nice! Tip: (check your check-in process / screen shot your door entry code before getting too close to the house as won’t have service to log into VRBO in the remote area- this was my mistake)! We ended up having to knock on a neighbors door and use their wifi as my cell service to make calls did not work at all. We didn’t utilize the boat which looked very nice but the listing said a certain amount/ day but what wasn’t listed was that you are also expected to fill up the gas cans in the garage. I felt this was an inconvenience to our time that we didn’t bother. Honestly would have rather had a higher set rental price with cans available to fill if needed. Propane tank on the grill ran out on second day. We didn’t tell the property owner but just feel it should be checked prior to renters as there aren’t local areas to eat out at so it’s a given guests will be staying in and cooking/ grilling in the summer. We just brought the food inside for cooking . Half of the grill was quite rusty inside. Cute decor and enough space for 4 adults, 2 kids. Ceiling fans in the bed rooms were very dusty and a lot of carpet in the house (with the sandy beach - I feel hard flooring is preferring with cleaning). The bulbs on the deck for lighting are cute but hardly work when plugged in. It was so beautiful and relaxing to wake up and drink coffee at the beach and watch the sunrise. The double walk our doors give a beautiful view! I liked all of the hooks and places to hang things ( in the shower and behind doors). The bed was comfortable but I forgot my pillow from home and really missed it! Overall a great stay- property owner made herself very available to us - drove by a few times while we were outside. We mentioned to her the bending umbrella stand which would tip over in the slightest breeze so hopefully that gets replaced (the umbrella itself looked brand new). Beautiful nature to watch - hummingbirds at the feeder and loons on the lake to name a few. In comparison to other places I’ve stayed - those were my honest critiques. Beautiful lake/beach cottage to get away to, some minor annoyances which could easily be fixed with renter feedback.

Accurate listing - place is very tidy and homey. Two kayaks, a canoe, and a paddle boat are available to use. Host was quick to respond. It was a great place! as great and very fast in responding. A wonderful place!

Wonderful cottage and location!
My husband and I spent a week at this cottage and we did not want to leave! The view from the living room is amazing. Even though you share a beach with four other homes, it doesn’t take away from the experience at all. The water was clean and we were so lucky that the weather was beautiful. The kitchen was fully stocked and we really enjoyed the deck. The hostess was great with any questions we had. We will be coming back for sure!

Big Bass Lake House
The property is as described in the listing. The host responds quickly to all inquiries/questions. During our stay, the "neighborhood" was quiet. The house is very clean and the kitchen is well equipped to prepare meals. Ample linens of good quality are provided. The deck furniture allows for comfortable seating for the number of guests the house accommodates. The beach and deck umbrellas are great for shade on the sunny deck. Great view of the lake. We would recommend to others interested in a relaxing, northern Michigan vacation in a quality rental and would stay again.

Family vacation
We really enjoyed the week at Big Bass Lake! Your cottage was a great place to stay for the week. We got plenty of good fishing in and much needed relaxation.
