"We spent a wonderful week in Moriston Cottage despite the rain. Everything was very clean and the cottage is very well equipped, we had everything we needed. There is everything in the kitchen if you want to cook and lots of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. The beds are very comfortable. "Great location for us and all needed amenities. The view is spectacular and easily a place we would return to. Unfortunately, the shower drain was clogged on arrival so we had to unclog a large amount and also had to buy toilet paper as no spare was obviously seen. These were minor issues compared to how our holiday went. Thank you."

"Nice holiday in this older style property on the loch shore. Easy access to hillwalking and only a short drive to beautiful Plockton and across to Skye. Parking was easy right at the front door. "

"Ansprechend und vollständig eingerichtet (TV, Waschmaschine, Herd, Backofen, Mikrowelle, Wasserkocher, Toaster, Kontaktgrill). Damit ist dann sämtliche Arbeitsfläche verbraucht. Mangels Spülmaschine sind dann sowohl Abwasch als auch Kochen eher umständlich. Im Gegensatz zur Menge der Geräte ist die Qualität im unteren Bereich: Billige Töpfe mit runden Böden, stumpfe Messer, Backofen heizt nicht richtig, bei allen beweglichen Teilen lockere Schrauben. Im Schlafzimmer gibt es nur ein Regal, Licht...

"Property was not cleaned when we arrived, filthy oven and mouse droppings in beds. Property owner arranged full clean gave us a 4x4experience and 30% refund. Happy with their response, staff fantastic but won’t be visiting again."

"From our arrival through to our departure, The Birdhouse surpassed our expectations. It's beautifully designed and it's in an amazing location. Kristen and Gregor are perfect hosts, super friendly and helpful. There are lots of stunning walks and scenery to explore in Applecross Bay. "Had a really good stay here with the family. It was definitely a true Scottish experience having to use the woodburner to heat the lounge and great that the cottage was up together but traditional. It wasn’t overly modernised but not dated either. Would definitely return. Well positioned for many good walks."

"Two of us stayed for 7 nights in August to visit friends in the area and to attend to business on Skye with colleagues. Excellent, central location to explore Highlands and Islands region of Scotland. Very clean comfortable cottage/bungalow on the waters edge, spectacular views, private tranquil location, excellent kitchen for self catering. Carrie was a wonderful host, very responsive to texts, and the only disappointment was that we never met her in person to express our appreciation for...

"A lovely cottage in a beautiful, peaceful setting. The cottage had all we needed. Very comfortable beds. The location was perfect for us. Good walks around Loch Long. A short drive into Dornie and lots of other activities and walks. Nice pub and cafes in Dornie. Not far from the Skye Bridge. We did lots of exploring and had a great holiday."

"This cottage was extremely well eqipped and spotless. Downstairs bedroom with ensuite well set up for people with physical disabilities. It would be useful to have information about when bins collected and which bin. Also, although not needed, it would be helpful to have a conctact phone number on the island, just in case."

"We had a week here in September (10-17th) and loved every minute. We saw otters from the shore one day and did walks in every direction from the house. The weather treated us quite kindly and we managed to be outdoors for a good part of each day without getting (too!) wet. The house was so comfortable and well set up it was always a pleasure to return to. We slept so well too…all the fresh air and a super comfy bed. A great location for exploring Skye and the Glenelg area too."
