Property is great with excellent amenities. I booked and paid in full through Wotif yet all further communication was from Sourhcoast Properties from whom I had three separate requests for payment of the “balance” of $824. Three emails and three calls later I felt the issue was solved and was advised that their system didn’t talk to the Wotif system but kindly ignore the requests. Arrived to collect key and you’ve guessed it I was asked for the balance of $824. Granted the lady who attended was very polite and didn’t persist. We arrive at property and there were tradesmen blocking entrance and working at the house. Extremely polite and moved cars and left within minutes.
The most disappointing thing by far was that none of the toilets( there are 3) had been cleaned . Evidence on toilet rim and surrounding floor in the master ensuite suggested that no cleaning had been done there whatsoever. Also the bed heads had not been dusted for some time and were very uninviting. So much for the deep cleaning that we were advised was done between letting.
This was such a shame as it is a beautiful property and the amenities therein are very good . We are a group of 8 females so we cleaned what was needed and had a good weekend. We’re it not for the cleaning issue and the trying demands for more money I would have rated this a 5 . Not much needed to make it so except the will and effort and I’m not altogether sure the agency is committed to so doing.
