A cozy and inviting traditional stone cottage built in 1868, Owl Cottage is an ideal base for your Highlands adventures. We have lovingly furnished it to feel like a real home from home, for you, your family and your furry friends.
The heart of the home is a large and sociable open-plan kitchen, dining and living room with space for the whole family. The well-equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing home-cooked meals to enjoy at the farmhouse dining table with the family. In the evenings you can relax around the wood burner and enjoy our wide range of books, games and DVDs.
The master bedroom has a king size bed with memory-foam mattress while the second bedroom has bunk beds, ideal for the kids and fun for adults too. Between the two rooms is a fresh and modern shower room.
The enclosed back garden is ideal for children and dogs alike. Soak up the sun on the large patio with luxury garden furniture and enjoy the peace and quiet. Watch out for the local wildlife including red squirrels, red kite and deer, who can often be seen in the garden at dusk. To the front of the cottage is space for one vehicle and spectacular views over the forest and mountains opposite.
Please note that the cottage has very limited internet access that may not be available at all times but does have mobile phone reception.
Loch Ness. Beautiful Loch Oich is just five minutes away - join the Great Glen Way and Caledonian Canal here and enjoy some beautiful walks, an excellent cycle route, or even a wild swim for the brave.
Ben Nevis, Fort William, Inverness and the Isle of Skye are all around an hour away. Drumnadrochit and the Nessie museum are around half an hour away.

To comply with the terms of our licence, the cottage is available for a maximum of four guests including children.
Please note we recommend that the top bunk bed is for those aged six and over and for a maximum of 60kg.
Dogs are very welcome and the cottage includes dog-friendly bedspreads and furniture to enhance their stay. Wooden floors throughout mean no worries about muddy paws. There is an enclosed back garden with patio area and garden seating and plenty of room for dogs to run about and play safely. They can go anywhere in the cottage or the enclosed back garden but must not be left unattended.
There is a good range of beautiful and safe walks within 5 minutes drive of the cottage, at Loch Oich and the Caledonian Canal, and many more within 15 minutes drive.
Please note that there is no television reception at the cottage and very limited wifi that may not be available at all times. There is a DVD player with a selection of DVDs and a range of books and games supplied for quiet evenings in. Phone reception may be limited depending on your provider.
For stays of more than 10 days you will be offered a change of linens halfway through your stay.
