It’s right on the main street, and from there you can walk to Gur-e-Amir and Registan in just a few minutes. You really don’t need a car or taxi at all unless you’re heading far out of the center. The Bibi-Khanym is also known as the Friday mosque. We were there just after the end of Ramadan when thousands of men would have crammed this space. The space under the arches was cool on such a hot day.

Wonderful hotel with amazing staff

"The hotel is located in quiet street not far from main attractions of Samarkand. The rooms are spacious and clean and the hotel restaurant where breakfast is served is authentic and beautiful. The breakfast was very good. The hotel restaurant is very popular with live music. It is recommended to book it in advance if you are going to have dinner there. Finally the staff especially Mr. Murod and Mr. Bexruz are super friendly, professional and helpful. "

"Awesome location! Great breakfast! One weird quirk - the fan in the bathroom ran constantly and there was no way to shut it off. Not a major issue, but even with the door shut, you could hear the humming of the fan. Would def return though - even with the weird fan thing."

"Very nice small boutique hotel, comfortable nicely decorated rooms with blend of modern and classic. The lobby and the courtyard is very nice, and so is the roof top bar/restaurant and small soaking tubs. Walking distance to points of interest and restaurants, market."
