Niece’s Wedding
Great place to stay. Location was awesome. We were there for a wedding in the area. Family from all over the country were able to stop by for dinner or just a drink. Lake was amazing with plenty to do for all ages.

Very quiet, great for extended family get together.
Stayed here for 4 nights with extended families. Alison was great about communicating. Property was bigger than it appears in pictures. Great location for various finger lake activities. Definitely recommend.

Wonderful Memories for a Family Weekend
Beautiful home with everything we needed for a family getaway. The front porch was one of my favorite spots to sit with the grandkids and watch the lake. Plenty of room for everyone and lots to do in the area as well.

Annual pilgrimage to FLX
Overall the property suited our needs. We had a few concerns about amenities included and the owners were very quick to respond and rectify. Location was perfect, our teenagers loved the lake access and swimming/kayaking all day everyday.

Our family had a wonderful long weekend staying at the Painted Porch. It is a great home in a great location. The home has a large yard, as well as direct and close access to the water. I would highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a relaxing weekend away at the lake.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The actual home was exactly as portrayed in the online advertisements. The house was clean, in a great location, access to the lake, and plenty of wineries close by. Would absolutely stay again and would recommend.

We 7 old friends rendezvousing for a few days. The house worked well for cooking and hanging out together, and was a good launchpad for visiting and hiking in the Finger Lakes area. Despite the less than perfect weather, we managed to catch some nice moments on the dock.

Great experience in the Finger Lakes
Four of us stayed in the painted porch for the weekend. The house is historic and charming. The view of the lake is gorgeous and neighborhood is quiet. There is plenty to do in this area and it ia all easy to access on Route 89. Thanks to Allison for a great stay.

Pleasurable stay
Just arrived home and wish we could go back. Very relaxing stay despite having 5 small children and no tv. The kids loved the lake. The adults loved the porch once the kids were asleep. Allison did a beautiful job decorating the house and made us feel very comfortable. The location is great. We took many day trips and two restaurants are practically next door.

Painted Porch Stay
The house was clean, well-equipped and in a fantastic location. You could eat a meal on the porch, just sit and take pictures of blue herons or belted kingfishers, or walk along the beautiful lake front drive. We were there for our 33rd anniversary, dined several nights in nearby Trumansburg and would strongly consider returning to the Painted Porch lake house!!

Cute House on Cayuga
We had a really nice time! The dining room table was the only space that we could all sit together since the living room was small, and the kitchen space only had 4 chairs at a teeny table. We wish we had known it was a dog house; we wondered why we saw so much dog hair around...and were sneezing so much.....and then as we packed up, we noticed the most dog hair-covered dog bed we had ever seen right beneath our bed. YUCK!

Just what our girl group needed
We had the best trip. The house was perfect for a girl's trip .. 6 of us. We loved our long mornings on the front porch sipping coffee, to making dinners together in the kitchen, to game nights. The house is so charming and conveniently located fo Ithaca, cool waterfalls, and wineries. Another bonus was being 2 houses down from a really cute restaurant, Omalleys, with a great menu. We definitely can't recommend staying at this house enough!

Relaxing stay by the lake
Great location peaceful and private. Kids 9-16 all had fun without being connected to the internet, fishing off the dock and swimming in the lake. It’s clearly an old house with lots of character, but very comfortable, clean and with good amenities. Alison has been a great help in ensuring our stay was without a hitch, always available and always with sound advice.
