I arrived at this location at dusk and managed to capture this image with the rocks warmed but the last of the sunset sky. This Iconic image of Yellowstone National park was top of my 'must dos for Yellowstone" and it did not disappoint. "Very courteous staff. Complimentary walking stick and binoculars in all rooms are a thoughtful addition. A nice place to stay in Gardiner. My priority was a for a location close to the North entrance where I could enter the park at sunrise for a drive through the Lamar Valley. This was good for that purpose."
