"From the moment we walked in, we were in love with this lovely home. As hosts, they thought of everything!! You will feel spoiled and pampered when you stay here. In the refrigerator, we were gifted local smoked salmon, Irish cheese, Irish crackers, fresh eggs, milk and juice. There were real wool throw blankets curled up next to the over stocked fireplace. "We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Ballyvaughn. Ray is a great host--check in was a breeze and the location of the house is terrific-- close to town, but quiet--with great access to Bishop's Quarter--a lovely strand for walking- The view from the house couldn't be prettier. This would be a great spot for a family, as there is plenty of room. We will be back for sure."

"Pros: - beautiful interior design has a luxurious yet cozy feel - warm and comfy, a great getaway from the winter storms outside - walls of windows make for an amazing view - all the amenities you need for your stay (we cooked, made coffee, listened to music on their Bluetooth speaker, took a bath) - short walk/drive to a convenience store/gas station - finding it was easy with Google maps (but there’s no signage otherwise) Cons - none! It’s lovely!"

"The Hazel Cottage is a unique combination of rustic exterior and elegance within. The hosts have furnished it beautifully, and generously left a few helpful food items for us to use upon arrival. All appliances worked, the fireplace was a welcome addition, and the surroundings are peaceful and majestic. Though we were only a few kilometers from Doolin Village, we were living in the countryside, only twenty minutes' walk from the beginnings of the mighty Burren landscape. Our four nights here...
